Jeff Zimmerman: Probably.

Pete: 2 start week – Cecconi (KC, CHW) or Dana (MIn, @ SEA)?

John: Do you think Rays will start Seymour @ White Sox or bulk reliever?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’ve given up guessing what the Rays will do next. I’m not sure they do.

Aging Veteran: Who would be your starting pitcher choice in a deep league the rest of the season, Jeff?  (3 choices sadly only!  Tolle, Pfaadt or Cavalli)

Jeff Zimmerman: Cavalli and not close

Mother Tucker: Sounds like Tucker will remain out of the lineup, at least to start the week. What to do in a weekly league? Would you bench for Manzardo?

Jeff Zimmerman: These are tough calls. I’d go Manzardo. I’d be mad if Tucker came back and hit instead of Manzardo. I’d be even more mad if I started Tucker and he never played.

Finn: Thanks as always, Jeff, looking to add starting pitching, on my wire is Tong, Waldrep, Cantillo and Mize…how would you prioritize?

Jeff Zimmerman: All but Mize

Jeff Zimmerman: Cantillo is lineup up for a nice two-step this week and Tong matchups are nice ROS (TEX, WSN, MIA).

Yakima Yodelers: Acuna has looked abysmal in the last month and now he is down in the 7 hole. In a points league with weekly lineups, who would you start at UT- Acuna or Luke Keaschall who has been a metronome of consistency ? I am seriously considering this bc Acuna’s so late on velocity and hasn’t been making any hard contact.

Jeff Zimmerman: I wouldn’t make the change but go ahead. You seem to be watching more of Acuna than I am.

Mike: Trust Bradish vs. Pittsburg.  Great match up, but only two starts so far.

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, I trust him

Carter Jensen: What would a keeper price be on him in AL Only ($260 budget, 12 teams)? Would you be targeting him that way?

Jeff Zimmerman: $1 and no. I never target catchers in a keeper league. Especially one that will UT only next year

Mike: Who do you prefer between McLain, Teal, or Simpson.  Position isn’t important, Teal looks like he has two lefties on the schedule, and steals do matter.

Tanner Bibee: Where would he rank on this weeks FAAB/WW article if eligable? He’s on my wire and has decent matchups (deep AL-Only Roto)

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s not the best group of starters this week. I have Bibee as a 4.31 talent. I go around Wells

Too many walks: Cristian Javier or Noah Cameron? Or do both walk too many and I should go RP?

Russell Branyan: Have O’hearn Mountcastle or Kayfus as 1B options for my championship matchup. Who’d you pick?

Mike: What do you do about Yelich this week?  I have no one close talent wise to replace him with.

Jeff Zimmerman: Bench him.

SP or RP: Probably rearranging deck chairs in a 5×5 AL Roto (SOLDS league) but thinking of dropping Newcomb and Schrieber for starters to try and gain some wins (closer to gaining points there) starters are Cecconi, Bibee, Tyler Wells, Ginn. Thoughts?

Jeff Zimmerman: The starters you listed are solid. I’d try to add all 4 in an AL -only league

Jeff Zimmerman: Sure, there are lots of better options than Castellanos

Eli: At this time of the year, do you go home with the girl you brought to the dance or do you sit slumping stars (i.e. Acuna, Elly) for hot hitters?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m a stars guy since I never take hot or cold streaks into account unless there is an injury involved.

Bochy the Bruce: Would you continue to start Robbie Ray in H2H points? Severino types available to substitute.

Jeff Zimmerman: I would go with Ray.  Severino isn’t an improvement

Rickey: For two weeks of playoffs, who do you prefer, Luis Morales (likely three starts, but the first two in Sacramento) or Jonah Tong (likely two starts, hopefully).

Jeff Zimmerman: I like Tong’s setup better (and I’m not sold on Morales).

Salvadore From Jersey: Would you drop Javier for any of Cantillo Wells or Garcia (Houston)?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes

Curt Flood: AL only league and I need two SPs:   which to choose for remainder of season:   Bradish,Cantillo, Cecconi, Garcia, Messick, Zebby Matthews or Seymour.  Thanks.

O: I need to start two of the following three starters each of whom has two starts this week: Darvish (vs. CIN, vs. COL); Cavalli (@MIA, vs. PIT); Berrios (vs HOU, vs BAL).  How would you rank them?

Jeff Zimmerman: Cavalli and Darvish – tied in my rankings as 4.23 ERA talents. Berrios is quite a bit below that

2 starts: Better 2 step, Darvish or Bergert? Or just no?  (5×5)

Rob: Should I trust Ryan Walker this week? All home games. Other options would be Armstrong and Romero.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d stick with Walker

Jahmai Jones: You buying this guy in AL Only Roto? He’s been good the past month or so. If so what are you bidding percentage wise?

Jeff Zimmerman: No, I can’t roster anyone with only one start in the last 10 games.
