Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t trust him but there are teams where I’m going to use him

Vader: Ashcraft has been pretty good in the second half but the Pirates have limited him to 72 pitches max so far. He’s got a two step next week and I’m wondering if he would even be worth it in a H2H playoff week?

Jeff Zimmerman: That’s a tough call for playoffs. I like his 2 starts (and maybe 5 IP) over most one starts.

Steve: would you consider Luis Morales over Tong, Tolle?

Jeff Zimmerman: No

Vader: Would you rather have Blaze or CWS Montgomery or Lopez Mia at SS in a H2H?

Jeff Zimmerman: Not Monty right now. Go with Lopez over Blaze. It’s close between those two

Brian: Thinking Simpson is a drop for the playoffs. Pick up Jo Adell or Adolis Garcia? Or maybe Wallner?

Jeff Zimmerman: Not enough info here to make a call. Cats vs Points would swap my call. Cats -> drop

Jeff Zimmerman: Ferrer but I don’t feel good about it

Zeebo: Ward injury timing rough and severity vague. You think he’s worth replacing with only 3 adds adds for 1-week playoff matchup?

Painter the Corner: I’ve secured number one seed in my playoffs (H2H points), but have lost a bunch of pitchers recently (Wheeler, Roup, JLopez, Junk, Perkins)…SP/RP is extra helpful bc we can only carry 7 SP. I basically need to decide between extra bench bats or dodgy SP/RP options on the wire. Carson Seymour, Shinnosuke Ogasawara, Shawn Armstrong, or a bat like Bassallo (already have YDiaz, Goodman @ catcher), Keaschall, Beavers, Grisham… one more year worth keepers before league resets. Appreciate any dart you can throw my way. Thanks for doing these chats, Jeff!

Jeff Zimmerman: Huh … I have him in every important league I have. He’ll likely win me a few thousand dollars.

Keith: do you trust Oviedo to continue his recent string of good starts?

Sal Stewart: Start me over Brooks lee?

Jeff Zimmerman: No. I’m not sure of Stewart’s playing time and adjustment to the majors.

Stan: Follow up on Senga: drop for Tolle or Brady Singer (who’s better at home and hasn’t faced the Mets this season)?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d drop Senga for both but it comes down to with Singer. I have singer as a 4.20 ERA talent and Senga at 4.40.

Jeff Zimmerman: Comes down to needs. Teel => speed, Moreno => AVG Basallo => power.

Keep em coming! … Just lost Eovaldi, Kikuchi and Kremer are nuclear blasts of late, Joe Ryan bounced back, but Boyd is faltering. Need 2 quality starters for ROS to hold onto first in NFBC $150 Auction. Trending top 20 overall and need to make a big push there with pitching. Have 100 FAAB and prioritizing Bradish at $51.Bieber went for 70 last week. Agree with Bradish? Make sense to also try to grab one of Seymour, Tolle, Tong (about 30 per), Verlander, M. Perez? Everything is gone. Might dart throw Mikolas as he’s fine at home and try to sneak a W there. Our big scrum is Ws.

Jeff Zimmerman: Spend that money now, especially if you need Wins. Check the money left on the other teams. You might dominate them and get Bradish cheaper.

Jeff Zimmerman: You’re in a tough position being ahead. I’d try to hold $10 per week ($30 total) to make five $2 moves each week. Maybe even $20 for the last one if you’ll need to drop closers. Since your ahead, you’ll need the $2 to win bids or you’ll end up with all the worst $1 bids.

Rogers: Has it gotten to the point where I’ll actually start Trevor Rogers vs the Dodgers? What world is this?!

Jeff Zimmerman: Studs and waiver wire as long as there are WW options. Never keep a C. Keep on OF spot open
