Jeff Zimmerman: I know there are going to be a ton of bullpen questions. As of right now, nothing seems like an obvious buy. Probably Lee in Atlanta is the top add.

Jeff Zimmerman: It could have been me. I did in one league. I’d hold Lowe. I don’t think people understand how back Harris is playing right now.

Jeff Zimmerman: I have projected in the same range as Brooks Lee and Brady House. Nick Loftin and Casey Schmitt have better projections.

Ian: What’re the odds the Yankees actually call up Spencer Jones and then he burns us with a patented cold streak?

Jeff Zimmerman: I expect every rookie to come up and struggle. Who hasn’t in the last few seasons? I’m sure there is someone but five others took a while to get going.

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s tough because of the injury risk. I’d go with talent and add Sheehan, Cabrera, Walter, and Darvish.

Jeff Zimmerman: Nice 6 team league, maybe 8 team. Go with Herrera but both should be top-10 bats going forward.

Jeff Zimmerman: No one at this point. Teams will wait until September to call them up to keep the chance for the ROY bonus.

Jeff Zimmerman: With Williams, the walks are the issue. A 1.43 WHIP is doing as much ratio damage as a 5.10 ERA

Jeff Zimmerman: Offer him up. The worst outcome is they say no

KCBBq: 12 team AL only H2H 5×5 keeper league. Would you throw $1 FAAB at any of Loperfido, Tellez or D Jansen for Schneider? $7 of $100 FAAB left.

Ian: how much shine has worn off on Kristian Campbell for his outlook for just the next year or two?

Jeff Zimmerman: A lot, but there could be hope.

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s fallen into the trap of MLB pitcher/teams finding his weakness and exploiting it. Now AAA pitcher know how to attack him. Once he figures out how to solve the weakness, his next trip to the majors should be better.

Booth: This Freeman injury hurts even though he wasn’t doing so well. If he goes on IL…. Pickup Soderstorm, A. Ramirez, or Burleson?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m interested now. A 3.4 HR/9 should regress and help him. His 1.13 WHIP is as good as a 3.34 ERA.

Northpaw: I am considering dropping Tommy Edman to pick up Luke Keaschall. I am currently using Stanton at UT, but I could use the SBs that Keashcall could provide. Should I pick Keaschall up or save my FAAB for another day? As always, thanks for these chats.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not a fan but in a few leagues, he helps me limit my bench with his position flexibility.

Kevin: Hi Jeff, in a head to head points league who do you like for Rest of Season at Catcher? Alejandro Kirk or Ivan Herrera?

Jeff Zimmerman: Herrera unless you need AVG help

Guest: Do you like Clemens or Vaughn more moving forward need to replace Bohm at first. Also, drop l. Taylor allen, Corbin, or gray when he comes back?

Jeff Zimmerman: So with the poll, the 5.06 ERA and 1.13 WHIP is running away with it. The deal is, the answer is that they do equal ratio damage.

Chris: How would you rank these rehabbing starters? McClanahan, Arrighetti, Cortes, Ober

Jeff Zimmerman: Just do it by when they are to return. I think Cortes is first so I’d go with him.

Guest: Royce Lewis – just a good night or time to buy in?

Jeff Zimmerman: Everyone gets excited about one game. At least give me a week with a hitter.

Jeff Zimmerman: The one part of his game I’d watch is his playing time. If he starts most days, the team might know he’s healthy and his production could jump

Powder Keg: Brandon Pfaadt recently changed his pitch mix and is attacking lefties more successfully with great results in his last 2 starts.  What is your view about whether Pfaadt will keep this up and have a strong ROS with this new approach?

Jeff Zimmerman: Not a ton of improvement. He looked to be a bit unlucky before this stretch and better now based on home runs.

brushback33: 12 Tm OC…I need power (HR, RBI). Is it K Manzardo, R Tellez, or someone else?

Jeff Zimmerman: Manzardo for this week, but don’t overpay, some power will open up with the trade deadline.

Vlad: What kind of bids are we looking at for Robertson in 15 teamers?

Jeff Zimmerman: Maybe 3%. The team could trade for a closer also.

brushback33: Is K Clemmons worth rostering if I need power and can take the BA hit?

Jeff Zimmerman: For a bit. He gets platooned and Keaschall is about off the IL.

Miguel: Is Doyle going to be in a platoon going forward?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s not obvious. I’d wait for two in a row …. wait …

Jeff Zimmerman: Looks like he’s finishing games and not being pinch-hit for, so no platoon.

Daniel: Vierling worth a look in AL only? Playing time seems to be picking up. The drop would be Bo Naylor (gross..), stick Ben Rice at C, and Vierling at CI (3B)..

Jeff Zimmerman: In this case, yes, but I don’t feel good about it

Long Game: Del Castillo was a popular FAAB pick.  How would you rank him compared to Carson Kelly and Victor Caratini in a one catcher format?

Jeff Zimmerman: #1 for now.

Jeff Zimmerman: He still has a 3.25 ERA (3.70 xFIP) and 0.8 BB/9. That still works.

Jeff Zimmerman: That was their original plan but then it wasn’t and now it is again.

BD: Hold Walter and Nelson over Sheehan simply based on longevity of rotation spot?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d want all three. I’d go Sheehan and Walter if given a choice

Salty: Just a friendly shout that Ha S Kim is now at 2 2B appearances.  With Lowe’s plantar fasciatis, he may get enough appearances in the next couple of weeks to gain eligibility in some leagues.

Jjjeffreyyy: ESPN H2H points league (i couldn’t convince the commissioner not to). 8 teams, so supee shallow. Weekly matchups skew heavily towards the teams with the best SP matchups. But, a big week from a bat can tip the scales. Two questions: (1) would you trade Woo for Devers; (2) would you drop your bottom pitcher (probably Bibe) for Kurtz. Thanks in advance!

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go with Woo and Kurtz. Maybe us the last spot to look for upcoming two-start pitchers.

Sal: If you had $190 left and there’s a mid level/decent SP available only in your 15 team league, how much are you comfortable bidding at this stage of the season? Okay to roll  ROS with $150?

Jeff Zimmerman: I would not. $40 for the trade deadline and weekly moves. I’d want $10 per week left. Maybe $130 max knowing I’ll get nothing at the trade deadline.

Jeff Zimmerman: I stream 1B in a couple of leagues.

Jeff Zimmerman: Kenley for the Saves. He might not be a closer in a week

Jeff Zimmerman: Walter. My projections hate Davish. I value Walter as a 3.70 ERA talent, Darvish at 4.57 ERA.
