Jeff Zimmerman: Yes, for the week. I’m dealing with the ATL and CHC situations with both guys. It sucks but it sucks more missing out on a closer.

JP: Jeff as always ur opinions are most appreciated.  Would u drop Zebby (not sure if it’s worth waiting) for either Fuentes or Fitts?

Jeff Zimmerman: I would for Dirty Fuentes

Painter the inside corner: Do you think the Rays will get Joe Boyle into that rotation soon? ROS, would you take him or Abel? Abel’s Ks have really dropped after that first start and all of the bad indicators have shot up…but he’s got a spot for the foreseeable future on a good team.

Jeff Zimmerman: Boyle should be up. He just needs an injury.

Jeff Zimmerman: As for Abel, he’s a streamer at this point. Stream for the bench in deeper leagues and from the wire in shallow leagues.

Guest: Any changes in thoughts on Bergert stuff/outlook?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not a fan, let me see how my latest projection ranked him.

Jeff Zimmerman: While a nice ERA, all the rest of his metrics point to high-4.00 ERA talent.

Ben: Schanuel showing new level up in power?  Or just a hot streak?  Thanks for the chat, Jeff.

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s showing some power, but it’s so tough to make huge power jumps. I think the power makes him startable in Roto leagues.

Hazmat Corntail: How long of a leash is there on Josh Jung in a 14t mixed dynasty? At some point, I’ll need a drop when Yordan comes back, and Jung just seem stuck in averageishness. I also have Vargas, Bohm, Barger, Shaw, Lawlar there.

Jeff Zimmerman: In a dynasty hold for now. It takes a while for guy hurt for a while to get back. I’d drop Vargas in a keeper format

Jeff Zimmerman: Schmitt might be down when Chapman returns. Possibly going to 2B. I’d stay with shaw

jonny: Jung Hoo Lee is well clear of your top guys by ownership% but what about quality? Devers addition helps and PT good — but streamable in 12s if all 5 guys atop your list are available?

Ess Pee: Looks like your (essential!) WW article preceded the Brandon Walter dud. Could you rank (or pick best and worst) of Walters, Cecconi, Giolito and Colton Gordon?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m still all in on Walter with a 2.51 xFIP and 2.66 SIERA.

Questionable Arms: Thank you, always, Jeff for these.  What is your take on Cade Horton ROS?  Is he worthy of a spot in a keeper league?  At this point, he is either my flexible spot for weekly streamers or I have to live with his growing pains.

Jeff Zimmerman: You have to hold for now.

Jeff Zimmerman: The only items not liking him are projections

Bobby Digital: Strategy question: 15tm mixed auction keeper. I started the season in the basement but recently made a fast run to the middle. I am lagging in all SP categories but somehow have all the top prospects (Chandler, Burns, Boyle) and some solid arms on the IL (Grayson, Imanaga, Senga) In this case, would you freely deal prospects to try and get a top 25 bat (which I also need to keep moving up)? Or do you build up the keeper pool with an eye more to next year? I want to go for it but it also feels like a long shot. Anyway, just curious what you’d do. Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: Sounds like you need pitching, so why trade it? I’m not sure if there is money for other places or only 1st place counts but I’d likely hold for now

Mr. Fister: Everyone said Semien was toast and to jump off the train.  Glad I didn’t. I know it’s hindsight 20/20, but the alternatives were never great

Jeff Zimmerman: 100%. He’s had similar drops. Rolling graphs are great at putting bad starts in prespective.

GP: Is Isaac Collins from MIL a thing in 15 teamers?  Playing and producing right now. Would replace G Lux in my lineup.

Jeff Zimmerman: I think some team in 15’s needs to add Collins. Lux is playing and producing. That’s a tough call

Redbull44: Has Giolito finally turned the corner? Do you trust him ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: No corner, he’s a streamable option.

Dwight Howard’s Boyfriend: Would you rather have Adley @$10 or Rice @1 in a 5×5 dynasty, 2 catcher league?

Jeff Zimmerman: No idea, I like both.

Redbull44: Is Bryce Harper’s injury worse than diagnosed? do you see him living up to his second round draft status the rest of the year?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s killing me in one league. Just no 1B on the wire

Just Joe: Is Gipson-Long worth rostering?

Jeff Zimmerman: It comes down to league depth. 15’s for sure. Anything shallower than that, he’s streamer

Guest: I need to chose one of Agustin Ramirez or Goldy as my 1B and drop the other for a SP. It’s a 14-team H2H points league so volume is important. I’m leaning Agustin due to the NYY logjam but I could regret dropping Goldy when the inevitable Stanton injury happens again. Who would you go with? Thx Jeff

Jeff Zimmerman: Hold Goldy for another week. Stanton is fresh, lets see how often he starts.

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably no, but it comes down to the available options

Nate: Gusto appears to have greatly reduced the BBs. His upcoming schedule is not great. But in a deep points league where the wire has few usable arms, how does Gusto compare to other SP RPs Ryne Nelson and Janson Junk?

Jeff Zimmerman: Nelson has a nice schedule coming up over the next 2 weeks: CWS, SF, KC

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d go Nelson, Guston, Junk

Guest: What’s the excitement like for Chase Burns? Is he an add over guys like Ryne Nelson, Ryan Gusto?

Jeff Zimmerman: For sure. Burns seems to be the last non-closer FAAB option this year. I didn’t think he’s come up this year but oops. It’s going to be crazy when and where he’s available.

Guest: Is Mike Trout cooked?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s had a lot of injuries.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d buy in if he can stay healthy

Granted: Grant Taylor throws hard. In a league with a starts limit, is the fact that he’s been used as an opener too risky, or is he worth it for the k’s and possible saves? (I can sit for opening days)

Jeff Zimmerman: You can’t use him when he’s the starter.

AL Only: Better add, Fitts or Winans?

KCBBq: 12 team AL only H2H 5×5 keeper league. Down to $8 FAAB from 100. Is it worth throwing a buck or two for Yoshida? Also would you drop Little for Lauer (if I can get him for $1)? My SPs are Flaherty. Rodon, Ryan and Cecconi. I have Bieber and McClanahan on reserve in hopes they can give me something positive. We have a 750 IP min by Sep 1. If I don’t add another SP it’ll be close.

Auction Calc Q: I love the Auction Calculator sooo much. But is there a way to do At Bat Neutral projections? They would be useful for deciding about a 1/2-week pick up.

Jeff Zimmerman: No really. I pay for Razzball for the partial week projection. There has been talk of including 1/2 week projections, but they are down on the to-do list.

SG: The Casparius usage is so strange. Just follows Ohtani each time. Picked up wins each game.  Do you think Casparius ever gets a spot of his own?  At some point Ohtani may go 5 or 6.
