7:29 |
: Welcome.
7:30 |
: Here are the winning bids in the two 15-team Tout Wars leagues.
7:30 |
![]() |
7:31 |
: Enjoying a solid pour of Russell’s 10 after a long week.
7:31 |
: Kurtz or CES ROS?
7:31 |
: CES
7:32 |
: CES breakout real or just a hot start back?
7:32 |
: No idea, I know his FAAB bids doubled or tripled on the day
7:32 |
: Would you drop F Alvarez to get Teel in 2 Catcher redraft? Thanks
7:32 |
: I’m leaning no
7:33 |
: McNeil something to watch or just hitting HRs against the Rockies and nothing to see there? He is batting fifth.
7:33 |
: Nothing to see with me
7:33 |
: Sunday, I had a trade for Burnes finalized about an hour before game time. Tuesday, I finalized a trade for Hunter Greene in the morning. No question, really. Just complaining.
7:34 |
: Given Stanton’s playoff performance with the torpedo bat, any interest in stashing to see playing time and performance? From your report today, it seems no.
7:34 |
: Again, no interest for a part time DH
7:34 |
: Looking for an SP IL stash. Looking at Lucas Gil and Grayson Rodriguez. You have hope for either of these two? Any other suggestions?
7:34 |
: Without knowing who is available, Grayson is a fine stash
7:35 |
: Looking for the most upside ROS for a bench OF (backing up Carroll / Wood / PCA). Can you rank the following OF eligibles: K. Campbell, C. Simpson, V. Scott, Parker Meadows, and L Gurriel. 12 tm 5×5. Thank you in advance
7:35 |
: Scott, ……. Meadows, Gurriel, Simpson, Campbell
7:35 |
: OK to cut Justin Slaten in 15 teamers? Pablo Lopez? Zebby Matthews? All three?
7:37 |
: Yes, on all depending on the team’s need. I cutting Lopez loose right now. I need arms between now and September
7:37 |
: Burger (TX) or N Lowe (WAS)
7:37 |
: Lowe
7:37 |
: 12T points league – how would you rank Megill, Bubba, Weathers, Eury, Zebby ROS? Thanks
7:37 |
: Megill, Weathers, and it doesn’t matter.
7:38 |
: Saves+Holds: please rank Kopech, Baker (BAL), Kerkering, King (HOU)
7:38 |
: I have no idea on these deep bullpen arms.
7:38 |
: NL only SVs only — how would you rank Yates and Kopech coming back into the LAD situation, against someone like Brad Keller, who has great ratios and metrics but is stuck behind Palencia (and maybe Hodge when he returns)?
7:39 |
: I’d target Yates
7:39 |
: Noah Cameron might be useful after all?
7:39 |
: Maybe
7:39 |
: Would you start Robbie Ray at COL this week?
7:39 |
: For sure
7:39 |
: QS + K/9 – pls rank Festa, Elder, Eflin, Houser
7:40 |
: Elser, Festa, Eflin, Houser
7:41 |
: Does any of the data show Luis Robert breaking out of his slump. I keep holding him with the hope he is traded. How long would you recommend holding on to him in a 12T H2H Cat. Thanks.
7:42 | : He’s right at some previous career lows and there is a small trend up. |
7:42 |
: If you had $10 to spread in speculating on saves in ATL how would distribute your bids among Johnson, Lee, Bummer, Kimbrel – use all $10 in distribution on as many or as few of them as you’d like
7:43 |
: I’d put it all on Lee. I wouldn’t mess around with the other 3
7:43 |
: Thanks, Jeff, as always, can you help me decide between Roupp and Patrick, and Edman vs. Mauricio?
7:43 |
: Roupp and Edman
7:43 |
: Is Max meyer a drop in 12s? patrick, brown, and gipson-long are the interesting options available. Thanks!
7:43 |
: Meyer can be dropped
7:43 |
: Do you see Nolan Arenado getting traded at the deadline? Does he have anything left for another push? Thanks.
7:44 |
: No and he may be done.
7:44 |
: I’m hoping you stay engaged with the fantasy baseball community long term. Maybe get a gig with Grey over at Razzball. They seem to have fun and provide a very entertaining and very helpful resource.
7:44 |
: Good for you
7:45 |
: im doing terrible in my AL only roto league. Any players I should be stashing for a glimmer of hope? I have Gil and Kim (TB) on my IL. Top prospects like Anthony are gone, but there is Basallo, Carson Williams, DeLauter, that I could burn a bench spot on. Not sure what their proximity is though. Thanks!
7:45 |
: I’d go all prospects and start looking to trade for some while more teams are in contention
7:45 |
: Hey Jeff! First time, long time. Is it time to grab Chase Burns? My trigger finger is getting itchy. Would hate to miss out.
7:46 |
: I don’t think so go ahead
7:46 |
: Can we expect more from Cam Smith going forward? A power surge perhaps? Thanks
7:46 |
: I’d don’t expect any more power until he starts making more contact
7:46 |
: How do you anticipate the Dodgers using KirbyYates?
7:47 |
: High leverage and he’ll move up or down depending on his results.
7:47 |
: In saves only, do you like D. Lee, S. Miller, or C. Martin? Thanks Jeff
7:47 |
: Miller, Martin, Lee
7:48 |
: Victor Scott or Wallner in OBP league? Could equally use home runs and SBs.
7:48 |
: Scott
7:48 |
: Hi Jeff Am I a drop for Festa or Bassitt? thanks
7:48 |
: Yes, just left of Richard
7:49 |
: Sal Perez still a top 12 catcher? Position looking deeper this year.
7:49 |
: No, he needs to DH 3/4 of the time
7:49 |
: 14 tm, redraft h2h Was just offered Witt Jr for Tucker … i see this as a lateral move, i have abrams and seager at SS and DH … am i crazy
7:50 |
: Yes on the crazy side
7:50 |
: Who would you rather add – CES or Meadows?
7:50 |
: Meadows
7:50 |
: where would bergert slot in your list? he seems like a real prospect that might stick? any thoughts on Brandon Walter?
7:51 |
: Bergert needs to improve the results. Too many walks compared the K’s
7:51 |
: Stowers a flash in the pan? Am i wrong to target his teammate J. Sanchez instead in a 12tmer?
7:52 |
: Stowers was never going to keep up his early season pace but he still should be helpful going forward
7:52 |
: Is Otto Kemp worth a pickup?
7:52 |
: I don’t think so, depends on the drop
7:53 |
: % spend acceptable for JCags for a power desperate 12 teamer?
7:53 |
: 30%
7:53 |
: As we are about 2 weeks away from the midway point, how are your main/important fantasy teams doing so far?
7:54 |
: Like shit, it my worst season in a long time. I need other managers to worry about football
7:54 |
: Jesus Sanchez viable 5th OFer/UTL in 12tms?
7:54 |
: Sure
7:54 |
: would you take a shot at Eury Perez this week against PIT and WAS
7:55 |
: No, I want to see how he performs in those two starts before putting him back in
7:56 |
: My SP was already struggling, now I need a Zebby replacement. Could throw a bid on Soroka, Elder, Shane Smith? Limited FAAB so streaming is out, just need the overall least unreliable arm available. Others: Bello, Povich, Hall. Thank you!
7:56 |
: Take a chance on Soroka
7:56 |
: What are you doing with Baz?
7:57 |
: I don’t have him but if a decent options appears, he’s a drop
7:57 |
: Ben Casparius have a decent chance to grab and hold a rotation spot this summer?
7:57 |
: At some point
7:57 |
: He keeps getting used in relief though
7:58 |
: Drop Story and pick up Ritter? Will Ritter play after Tovar comes back?
7:58 |
: I’m worried about Ritter’s playing time
7:58 |
: Logan Hendersonworth holding in 10s. If no, can you rank littell, rouppw, Schmidt, and McCullers for points leagues?
7:59 |
: Drop Henderson for any of those you listed
7:59 |
: Jeff, thanks for the chat. Should I be worried about Jackson M and Vlad? They both seem in freefall
7:59 |
: Why worry. Ups and downs are part of the game.
7:59 |
: Who would you rather: Cecconi or Colton Gordon? Thanks!
7:59 |
: Gordon
8:00 |
: Do you think Dustin May keeps this up all season?
8:01 |
: Staying healthy? No. Productive when healthy … sure.
8:01 |
: In a deep league I can’t quit Nick Martinez. SIERA isn’t a fan, but xERA is. I don’t think you are. While I’m riding the hot hand for now, anything you’d be watching for to jump ship?
8:02 |
: The opponents. Martinez’s starts need to be curated. He’s not a plug-and-play.
8:02 |
: Am I a drop in 12 teamers? Thanks
8:03 |
: Yes
8:03 |
: How does Jose Quintana continue to be a useful pitcher?
8:03 |
: He doesn’t walk anyone. That skill goes a long ways.
8:03 |
: Pfaadt or Bryce Miller ROS??
8:03 |
: Neither
8:04 |
: If I had to pick, Pfaadt
8:04 |
: Will Emmet Sheehan find his want into the Dodger rotation?
8:04 |
: At some point, but not sure when
8:05 |
: Caballero going to be another casualty when Kim returns or still viable fantasy bench pmayer
8:05 |
: Possibly but who knows with Tampa. $20 says they have no idea
8:06 |
: which trade will be a bigger deal for the cubs, in the long run? Thanks
8:06 |
: PCA
8:06 |
: Need a catcher: Teel, Navarez, Alvarez, Dingler or Kirk ?
8:06 |
: Dingler, Teel, Alvarez, Kirk, Navarez
8:07 |
: How much longer do you hold on strider?
8:07 |
: I’m at the point of hold but don’t start. Just consider him on the IL
8:07 |
: Who would you choose Meadows or K. Carpenter?
8:07 |
: Carp
8:08 |
: Evening, Jeff–in a 14 team 5×5, drop/hold Mia’s Henriquez or bid on Yates/Shelby/D Lee? Thanks–
8:08 |
: I’d bid on the trio and drop Hernandez
8:09 |
: Ok to cut Langeliersin an OC?
8:09 |
: Possibly but I’m trying to hold when possible
8:09 |

8:09 |
: Get the healthy guys
8:09 |
: dylan crews a drop in an OC?
8:10 |

8:11 |
: Who would you rather pickup Caglianone or CES?
8:11 |
: CES
8:11 |
: Is Elko anything? Desperate for power.
8:12 |
: Not yet. Poor plate decisions.
8:13 |
: At C, do you like Stephenson, Dingler or Herrera? Thank you.
8:13 |
: Stephenson
8:13 |
: What % of FAAB for CES 12 team mixed? 20-25% sound right?
8:13 |
: Might be a bit high but your in the ballpark
8:14 |
: You have to trust Strider vs Colorado don’t you?
8:14 |
: Yes …. if he struggles against COL, he’s definately not starting.
8:14 |
: Can I drop Tovar in an NFBC 15 team?
8:15 |
: Comes down to the replacement
8:15 |
: Is it time to bench Luzardo until he stops getting steamrolled?
8:15 |
: He needs to put 2 to 3 good starts together.
8:15 |
: Pick last starter for the week……Leiter, Abel, or Eury double
8:15 |
: Abel
8:15 |
: Please rank these available catchers: Teel, Alvarez, Jeffers and Baldwin.
8:16 |
: Teel, Alvarez, Jeffers, Baldwin
8:16 |

8:16 |
: good to know
8:16 |
: Time to drop Christian Walker?
8:16 |
: For who?
8:16 |
: your current top 3?
8:18 |
: Bulleit 10, Bardstown Bottle and Bond, and High West finished in Rum Barrels. Those are the ones I have open and enjoy the most
8:18 |
: More upside ROS – Festa, SGL or Casparius>
8:19 |
: Festa, Casparius, Simpson-Long
8:19 |
: Is there a concern for William Contreras’s finger and lack of power this season? Is he a potential drop in 12 Teamers or just hold?
8:19 |
: I think he’s a top-5 catcher right ….
8:20 |
: Sorry … 6th.
8:20 |
: Why drop one of the league’s best
8:20 |
: ?
8:20 |
: In 12-tm H2H category, with middling pitching (no SP1) and the best on waiver wire the likes of Severino, Ben Brown, T Bradley, Soriano, R Nelson, Gonsolin, Sugano, Paddack and Cecconi — would you still hold Baz, G Holmes and Jobe?
8:21 |
: You can at least drop Jobe and Baz for several of the arms you listed.
8:21 |

: Drop Walker for Busch?
8:23 |
: Sure
8:23 |
: Nobody believes in me, still? 🙁
8:23 |
: You have good weekly projections. I’m looking to add him when I lost Langelaires
8:24 |

the Dodgers have Scott, Yates, Kopech, and Vesia for potential saves, and usually a lot of saves to go around. assuming Scott still mostly has the job, who is next in line this week and who is the best bet to steal the job for at least a month?
Anyone’s guess here…seems like an impossible question to answer. I’d recommend focusing on which RP has the best underlying skills. That way, regardless of save opportunities you maintain decent Ks and ratios (hopefully). Particularly for a short-term play like you’re referring to. Guessing who Roberts will deploy in a given situation will likely drive you insane!
