7:29 |
: Welcome
7:31 |
: Here are the winning bids from the two 15-team Tout Wars leagues.
7:31 |

7:34 |
: Thanks for helping many of us get ahead of Meadows coming up. With him coming off the IL tomorrow, I need to deal with Adolis. Any reason to think he’ll come back to be a viable OF option? Where would you put him on your waiver list this morning? Thanks.
7:34 |
: I’m holding for a week to see what happens
7:34 |
: Hey, Jeff–how did your son run @ States?
7:35 |
: As expected. One place off medaling in his relay. In the mile, he didn’t come in last. He barely got to state.
7:35 |
: Lots of OF injuries means digging deep into the AL wire. OBP league. Favorite 1 and 1b of this mess? A. Osuna, Haggerty, N. Lukes, Wenceel Perez, Jo Adell…
7:37 |
: Most of these guys have issues, especially with players coming and going to the IL. Right now, Osuna and Adell are the safest for playing time.
7:37 |
: On average, how many places would you drop if you had to replace your top three outfielders with the Royals outfield?
7:37 |
: <the_limit_does_not_exist.gif>
7:39 |
: What to do with Logan Henderson? Drop or hold?
7:39 |
: It comes down to league depth. I’m holding where there are no options, but in shallow leagues, I’m taking a chance on other arms.
7:39 |
: Abel or Zebby ROS?
7:39 |
: Abel but I feel this is close to 50/50
7:39 |
: Is clay holmes for David bednar a fair trade in NL only?
7:40 |
: Sure, especially if the one team needs Saves
7:40 |
: Appreciate you doing this, Jeff. Roster crunch and need to drop one. Schneemann or Clemens?
7:40 |
: Yes on both. Clemens is likely a platoon streamer and just 4 righties this week
7:41 |
: Schmeeman is not a good player. A fine fill in but I’d alway be looking to upgrade
7:42 |
: Did Slade’s start yesterday mute any of your interest? I have him rostered in a 14 team 5×5 but looking @ some Edward Cabrera, Chad Patrick, maybe even AJ Blubaugh replacements. Thanks–
7:44 |
: No. The best stats to use in a small sample K%-BB% and botOvr still look great compared to your other options.
7:45 |
: 12-team points, QS. Cole Ragans coming off IL. Need to cut one: Matthews, Lugo, Valdez, Gore, Horton, Roupp – Pitchers. Or Buxton, Volpe, Meadows – hitters (bench) Thanks!
7:45 |
: Horton or Lugo
7:46 |
: Who would you drop: Slade Cecconi, Tyler Anderson, Colton Gordon? Thanks!
7:46 |
: Anderson
7:46 |
: Expecting Meadows back in from IL in active lineup this week?
7:47 |
: Sort of. I’m not 100% counting on him, but using him as my bench backup.
7:47 |
: Bid for Addison Bargaer and drop Goodman ? I’m already using Agustin Ramirez at my One C position. 12T Roto
7:47 |
: Sure
7:47 |
: Stashing Jacob Misiorowski in a 12-team H2H, but what should I realistically expect to get, aside from rookie nerves and control issues, if he does get called up? Drop for Kyle Harrison or Mick Abel tonight?
7:47 |
: I’d roster Harrison and Abel over him. The control issue are real
7:48 |
: Can you rank these waiver wire SP ? Weathers, Birdsong, and Bassit
7:48 |
: That’s the order
7:48 |
: AL only league with a 3 man bench. How long do I hold Chandler Simpson? He was winning me saves…
7:49 |
: Saves????
7:49 |
: You will be waiting for an injury for suckitude with someone on Tampa
7:50 |
: Points league. Drop Taillon for E Cabrera?
7:52 |
: No, especially in a Roto league. Cabrera’s 1.42 WHIP will do as much ratio damage as a 5.05 ERA
7:52 |
: Is there a unheralded AAA bat, like Kayfus or Otto or Colby Thomas, you think is going to make impact soon?
7:53 |
: Add Anthony Seigler to your list
7:54 |
: Haha. I guess I was thinking about Chandler Simpson saving my season and conflated the stats…
7:54 |
: Sure Jan
7:54 |
: Luis Robert droppable in 12t? Barger and Rice available
7:54 |
: No
7:54 |
: Probably won’t bid enough to win, but what would be the max you would spend, if any, to go from Norby to Barger and Cam Smith to Wallner?
7:55 |
: 2% to 3% each
7:55 |
: Macallan 18. Be good to yourself.🙂
7:56 |
: Tell Appelmen to give me a raise. I’m waiting for the new Markers Mark to come out
7:56 |
: drop will warren for mccullers or roupp?
7:57 |
: Roupp but I’d try for all three
7:57 |
: Thairo Estrada worth 20% of FAB?
7:57 |
: No maybe 2%
7:57 |
: Any change of heart with what you’ve seen with Hayden Birdsong over the past few starts?
7:58 |
: I didn’t say I didn’t like him, I was not a fan of dropping 20% of my budget on him. His been able to keep the walks in check
7:59 |
: Expect CES to be recalled next week?
7:59 |
: It may be this weekend. The last I read said he will get a few more PA
7:59 |
: Is bryce miller even worth keeping on a 12 team roster?
7:59 |
: I would not
7:59 |
: Old dogs learning new tricks: Do you like either Adrian Houser or Ryan Yarbrough?
8:00 |
: Good enough to stream against weak opponents. I have both in my bid lists
8:00 |
: What do you expect from Cole Young? Legit keeper in a dynasty?
8:04 |
: I don’t know. Projections hate him and could be a Steven Kwan clone at best, good AVG, some HR, above-average stolen bases.
8:04 |
: I need to run a specific query on him once we’re done. I’ll post it on BlueSky
8:05 |
: Hi Jeff. Always a pleasure. Am I dropping Bryce Miller for Sawyer-Gibson. Bieber Harrison or Yarborough. I think Miller is way more hurt than they are letting on. Thanks!
8:05 |
: Yes on the drop. They say he will pitch with bone spur
8:05 |
: Who’s the best bet purely for SB (5×5 H2H): Victor Scott, Xavier Edwards, Meidroth, or (gasp) Jorge Mateo?
8:06 |
: Scott but Mateo has been stealing at every opportunity
8:06 |
: Does Roupp keep the gig over Harrison?
8:07 |
: Roupp has been solid.
8:07 | : Verlander might be the worst of the group: |
8:07 |
: Is Bubba Chandler an add over B. Miller, A. Nola or B. Ober if he ever gets called up ?
8:08 |
: Miller
8:08 |
: Andrew Painter worth a flyer this year?
8:08 |
: Yes, I expect him up by the ASG
8:08 |
: Rate Correa, Semien, BLowe in redraft H2H? Let’s say I’m punting steals
8:08 |
: Lowe, Correa, Semien
8:09 |
: picked up marcus semien. Is he worth much ROS?
8:09 |
: I’m not sure, he might just be done
8:09 |
We expecting anything from cowser? Or arrighetti whenever he comes back? |
8:11 |
: I’m doing the infinity bottle and seltzer. The bottle was full, so I needed to drink some.
8:12 |
: Cowser is a must-add to see what happens. I am worried a bit on the playing time.
8:12 |
: Drop Luis Robert for Meadows?
8:12 |
: Sure
8:12 |
: Doval and R. Garcia are available in my 12 team mixed; Weaver is my 2nd closer ATM; what kind of bids should I be making?
8:13 |
: These could be all over the place depending on the league’s activity.
8:13 |
: 3% to 15%
8:13 |
: Any opinion on Canario? Him vs Kjerstad, Morel, Waters?
8:14 |
: I like Waters first and then Canario
8:14 |
: Looking to add Barger…who do I drop? T. Ward, Bohm or Frelich. Thanks!
8:14 |
: If you have to, Bohm but I’d stand put
8:15 |
: Drop one of EdCab, WWarren, Weathers, Yarbrough? 12T redraft, K/BB, QS not W’s
8:15 |
: Cabrera
8:15 |
: what would you do with Michael Harris in a 12-team keeper league? OF is struggling and also have Bryan Reynolds. Waiver wire options are not robust
8:16 |
: I’m holding. In the leagues I have him, I need a HR and he’s one of the few who could provide it
8:16 |
: Better ROS outlook in a 5×5, Kumar Rocker or Edward Cabrera? Thanks!
8:16 |
: Rocker
8:16 |
: Would you drop N. Martinez for Roupp
8:16 |
: Yes
8:16 |
: Think Kopech gets some chances when he comes back??
8:16 |
: No
8:16 |
: Max Meyer two step (CO/TB) or Cade Horton (Nats/Tigers)?
8:16 |
: Both
8:17 |
: Meyer
8:17 |
: Which of these do you like more for this season only and in a keep forever dynasty? Adames, volpe, winn, lawlar?
8:17 |
: Volpe for both
8:17 |
: Who gets called back up first Simpson or Henderson
8:17 |
: Henderson
8:17 |
: Will Knack stick in LAD rotation?
8:18 |
: No idea here, let me see of the team made a call yet
8:18 |
: are you buying the Carlos rodon start to the season?
8:18 |
: He’s done it before. Now, will he do it again
8:19 |
: Any chance Shane McClanahan comes back this season? When do you think?
8:19 |
: I’d not worry about it. Take a look at the guys coming back sooner like Bieber and Painter
8:19 |
: wil warren or cecconi ROS?
8:19 |
: Warren
8:21 |
: Why Barger is not on your hiters Faab list? its over 40%? How would you rank him in this week list?
8:22 |
: Over the 40% and I would not have ranked him too high.
8:22 |
: Time to give up on Vientos?
8:22 |
: It’s getting there
8:23 |
: I have him in a couple early DC’s and he’s not helping. He seemed to trade off for Contact% and gave up some power
8:24 |
: Time to cut bait on India?
8:24 |
: Definitely a streaming option at this point. His position flexibility helps in deeper leagues.
8:25 |
: I have both M Vargas and E Suarez and am mulling dealing Suarez for pitching help since he has the name recognition. Confident banking on Vargas to hold down 3B for me capably?
8:25 |
: I wouldn’t be confident on either one
8:25 |
: Thoughts on Toronto’s Roden , his 2nd time around ,Toronto, He was raking in Buffalo,
8:26 |
: My issue with Toronto is how the playing time will work out.
8:26 |
: Expectations for Eury Perez and Bubba Chandler? Which guy would you rather have ROS?
8:27 |
: … Chandler but I’d probably grind pitchers to hit on someone before they get promoted.
8:28 |
: Is Ben Rice still worthy of holding? Yankees are run by monkeys.
8:28 |
: It’s tough and going to get tougher with Stanton coming back
8:29 |
: David Fry and his multi position eligibility. Will Cleveland start to play him?
8:29 |
: He’ll only DH but has catcher eligibility.
8:30 |
: Thanks for showing up this evening. I’ll get the Young comp out in a bit

You probably already know this and it probably doesn’t change your eval, but perhaps worth noting Barger has at least started back-to-back games against LHP.
Barger since May 1st (not counting his 1/4 with a bomb today) – .399 xwOBA, 22.4 k%, 8.2 BB%, 95.9 EV, 62.7% Hard Hit.
Now, I have no idea if he’s going to keep it up but those are legit numbers to put up for a full month.
