RockAugust: Head  2 head 12 team 5×5, 4 weeks to the playoffs and my bullpen is a mess. Knebel, osuna, Giles, Parker, Doolittle on dl. Twins, dodgers, marlins situation worth bidding on to cut one of these guys? Low man elsewhere is t Cahill and Max muncy

Jeff Zimmerman: Fletcher and Forsythe based completely on playing time.

Maturin: Thoughts on the readiness of Danny Jansen’s bat?  In an AL-only 2 catcher redraft league is he potentially an upgrade over Austin Romine or Isiah Kiner-Falefa the rest of the way?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s a good bat and should be owned in AL 2-catcher but you have decent options. I drop Romine for him though

Jake Junis Priest: With LoMo done, is Tyler Austin gonna be something?

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably not

Hannah Hochevar: What do we do with the Twins pen?

Jeff Zimmerman: Pray

Matt: Points league. 2 start Hardy, Minor, Elfin…need 2 for my rp spots. Thanks!

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not sure of these week’s matchups but I like Minor and Eflin over the whole season

Hannah Hochevar: Is Kyle Seager going to be playable going forward? The numbers are unpleasant to look at.

Jeff Zimmerman: Let me go look

Jeff Zimmerman: Might not be. The one item which concerns me is the BB/K getting cut in half

Tim: In what formats, if any, would you add Jacob Nix?

Jeff Zimmerman: All as a bench arm to see what he does next

jpearce37: Hi Jeff, I’m in 1st place, but lost trout and Springer. I need 2 outfield replacements. All cats are pretty important. Just looking for production for the next week or 2 (hopefully). My options are dietrich, Palka, nimmo, Avisail, teoscar, Bader, Souza, grichuk, Nick Williams, cave. Any 2 of these stand out? Thank you kindly in advance

Jeff Zimmerman: Williams is #1

Jeff Zimmerman: Some many of these guys are close. You may need to look at matchups. I’d pass on Cave for sure and I’m not sure if Souza is healthy.

Tim: Speculating on saves, in what order would you prioritize Alexander, Madson, Hildenberger Trevor Rogers and Trevor May?

Jeff Zimmerman: Alexander, Hild, Madson,  Rodgers, May

Jeff Zimmerman: Madson and Hild are really close. Madson is the closer but only for a week, maybe two. Hild may not be it but could hold it over the ROS

Drew: Do I try and trade Knebel? Bench? Think he regains the closer spot in MKE before the end of the year?

Jeff Zimmerman: Bench for now. Give it a week

NCKLM: Reynaldo Lopez for $111 in 15tm Tout above?  What do you make of him?

Jeff Zimmerman: It’s a great two-start week vs KC and Det. I’m not super high but I did also bid on him. The owner was needing some pitching. They got Alexander and Madson

Hank: F. Reyes or W. Calhoun ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Reyes. I think he’ll play more. I could be wrong, especially if Texas can move a piece

Ron: Will Tucker produce this time around in HOU?

Jeff Zimmerman: No one knows. Houston can’t wait to find out as they push to the playoffs

Jeff Zimmerman: No idea. I’m betting on Gsellman (most talented) but it could go in four or five different directions.

Rocco: Thoughts on Kyle Freeland?  He’s been impressing, right?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s good and highly rosterable.

Pat’s Bat: Would you be comfortable rolling with Jed Lowrie as your 2B next year in a 10 team points dynasty league (SBs much less valuable than roto)?

Jeff Zimmerman: 10 team? No, I’d try to upgrade at some point

Deez nutz : You sold on Bader getting enough at bats to be 12 team relevant the rest of the way?

Jeff Zimmerman: Might be a 50% chance.  I’d take the chance and move on later.

El Duque: Jonathan Villar worth holding on to? He’s been pretty underwhelming since the trade

Jesse: I have Miguel Sano and Hosmer as my two first basemen. Who do you think is stronger ROS?

54: Has Austin Hedges quietly gotten more adequate with the stick, or is this a small sample size and a fortunate streak? Prefer him or Zunino going forward?

Deez nutz : My playoffs start September 1. I’ve held on to Donaldson this whole time. I’m beginning to think he’s not going to play at all the rest of the year. Is picking up Vlad the easy solution? I’m afraid they won’t call him up.

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d roll the dice with Vlad, maybe even Jimenez

Jeff Zimmerman: News is starting to come out of the Donaldson camp, so maybe hold him for the week.

Jeff Zimmerman: Hold and see how the rest of his season goes.

Jeff Zimmerman: Peralta … yes for Chirinos. Maybe Bundy for Nix. It’s really tough to evaluate the rookies on a start or two

Amazing Larry: Tyler O’Neill started a rehab assignment yesterday.  Wheres he fit in the Franmil/Renfroe/Bader/Mullins convo.  Gotta be the best power option of the bunch, right?

Jeff Zimmerman: Best power for sure. Really comes down to playing time.

Guest: Freeman/Lindor and Carassco/Paxton for Trout to much. Standard 5×5. keeper for five years.
