Starting Pitcher Chart – June 23rd, 2025

Daily SP Chart archive
The chart includes their performance for 2025, their opponent’s wOBA rank versus the pitcher’s handedness from this year so far, my general start/sit recommendation for 10-team, 12-team, and 15-team (or more) leagues, and then a note about them. Obviously, there are league sizes beyond those three so it’s essentially a shallow, medium, deep. If a pitcher only has an “x” in 15-team, it doesn’t mean there’s no potential use in 10s and 12s, but it’s a much riskier stream for those spots.
These are general recommendations, and your league situation will carry more weight whether you are protecting ratios or chasing counting numbers. This is for standard 5×5 roto leagues. The thresholds for H2H starts are generally lower, especially in points leagues so I thought there would be more valuable focusing on roto.

RK | PITCHER | GAME | 10 | 12 | 15+ | IP | ERA | WHIP | K-BB | 2025 wOBA RK | NOTE |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Bryan Woo | SEA at MIN | x | x | x | 89 | 3.12 | 0.94 | 18% | 15th | Tough start at ARI raises the ERA a bit over his L30, but he’s allowed a dud; doesn’t have consistent issues v. tough tms, either – 2.98 ERA/0.96 WHIP/18% K-BB v. .500+ tms |
2 | Spencer Schwellenbach | ATL at NYM | x | x | x | 96 | 3.26 | 1.01 | 20% | 5th | Since LAD cooked him: 2.78 ERA/0.94 WHIP/22% K-BB in 55.3 IP |
3 | Chad Patrick | MIL v PIT | x | x | x | 79 | 3.50 | 1.28 | 15% | 29th | Has curbed some of the regression by dialing up the Ks: 13 in 10 IP to soften the ratio pain a liiiittle |
4 | Bailey Ober | MIN v SEA | x | x | x | 79 | 4.54 | 1.40 | 12% | 10th | Classic litmus test week: if you can’t trust him for a 2-step (at DET this wknd), his roster spot needs to be questioned; I’m running him, but more troubles would result in a lot of cuts |
5 | Nick Lodolo | CIN v NYY | x | x | x | 85 | 3.71 | 1.11 | 16% | 2nd | Tough matchup, but the talent plays… hard to sit him anywhere these days |
6 | Eduardo Rodriguez | ARI at CHW | x | x | 60 | 5.93 | 1.62 | 15% | 19th | Early season Ks might’ve just been a hot streak (12 in 16 IP since IL return) but this is an amazing 2-step that is viable everywhere w/v. MIA this wknd | |
7 | Trevor Rogers | BAL v TEX | x | x | 8 | 3.12 | 1.15 | 16% | 25th | Immediately dampened excitement over season debut at BOS w/a dud at TBR (2.3 IP/3 ER/3 BB), but I’m still intrigued by the 2-step in medium & deeper lgs (TBR on the wknd) | |
8 | Mitchell Parker | WSN at SDP | x | x | 80 | 4.59 | 1.32 | 8% | 22nd | Still not consistent enough to blindly trust (6 ER v. MIA?!), but this is a great 2-start setup w/at LAA on the wknd | |
9 | Matthew Liberatore | STL v CHC | x | 79 | 4.08 | 1.16 | 17% | 6th | Leveraged his at CHW start to get back on track (6 IP/2 ER), but I still won’t blame any skips in daily; I gotta run him in most weeklies for the 2-step (at CLE on the wknd) | ||
10 | Shane Smith | CHW v ARI | x | 72 | 2.85 | 1.22 | 12% | 1st | Another pitcher I really like but have some fear about the matchup here; again I can see skips in daily, but I’m throwing him in weeklies (v. SFG this wknd) | ||
11 | Ben Brown | CHC at STL | x | 74 | 5.57 | 1.48 | 19% | 12th | STL offense has faded as the season wears on, sitting 28th in wOBA vR over the L30; SP charts have Rea pitching this wknd to prevent a 2-step here | ||
12 | Patrick Corbin | TEX at BAL | x | 71 | 3.91 | 1.25 | 10% | 30th | Not sure this is more than some run-hot, powered by a .266 BABIP; last start was first w/4+ ER all yr | ||
13 | Stephen Kolek | SDP v WSN | x | 52 | 3.59 | 1.29 | 8% | 19th | Even a tick short of Parker in terms of trustworthiness but this is a good matchup to run a streamer; at CIN this wknd curbs my appetite a bit for the 2-step espec. since the offense isn’t fueling W upside | ||
14 | Walker Buehler | BOS at LAA | 59 | 5.95 | 1.51 | 12% | 25th | A 1.8 HR9 pitcher facing a team tied for 3rd most HRs (86)… nah, I’m good | |||
15 | Paul Blackburn | NYM v ATL | 13 | 6.92 | 1.69 | 7% | 13th | Tough part is the juicy end of the 2-step is at PIT on the wknd and if he’s clobbered here, does he even get that start? | |||
16 | Carmen Mlodzinski | PIT at MIL | 46 | 5.67 | 1.63 | 9% | 23rd | ||||
17 | Jack Kochanowicz | LAA v BOS | 77 | 5.38 | 1.55 | 7% | 18th | ||||
18 | Allan Winans | NYY at CIN | #N/A | #N/A | #N/A | #N/A | 7th |

I have extra pitchers this week. Do you consider Chase Burns a must start right away vs. NYY? I need to sit 3 out of (Rodon @CIN, Lugo vs. LAD, Burns vs. NYY, Rasmussen @ KCR, Abbott vs. SDP, Taillon @ STL). Which three would you sit? thanks!
