I own Kuroda and would like to trade him in a deal for Liriano, but the Liriano owner doesn’t match up with me so well. What would you think of Kuroda/Garner for Liriano/Bourn? Is that a good enough OF upgrade to justify trading Kuroda for Liriano?
Thanks!
Hmm tough call. Gardner (assuming you meant him) will likely see his playing time cut as the Yanks get healthier, so Bourn does now become an upgrade, though only a bit. I do like Liriano’s upside more than Kuroda of course. I’d lean toward making this trade.
Thanks! I do have one more question, I don’t mean to be a nudge. As you mentioned, Gardner’s PT may get cut, so I’m looking to add an OF for my utility spot. I currently have Aramis there, but I also have Pablo Sandoval and Machado on my roster. An offer is on the table of Fowler for Aramis. Should I accept it so I have more than the minimum amount of OFs, or is Aramis simply the better player? (If I do the above trade, it’s obviosuly less prudent.)
Thanks again!
Well obviously before the season, Aramis was clearly the more valuable player. Now it really depends on how much we believe in Fowler’s power surge and stolen base rebound. I’d ask how much you need steals. If you’re in good shape, I’d keep Aramis. If you desperately need them, I’d consider the deal, but would be concerned I’m buying high.
