Various News and Notes
Nico Hoerner made his MLB debut on Monday, going 3-for-5 with a triple and four RBI. Hoerner was considered one of the more polished products when he was drafted in 2018 and has performed well throughout his minor league career. He has a bit of pop, above average speed, and a plus hit tool. He should get a fair amount of playing time down the stretch with the Cubs dealing with injuries to both Javier Baez and Addison Russell.

Trent Grisham went 5-for-6 with a double and a triple in the win over the Marlins. Grisham has some prospect pedigree and a decent power/speed profile but tends to strike out a bit too much. He is going to play down the stretch, but has a crowded situation in the Brewers outfield and is more of a long term dynasty or keeper league asset.

The Mariners are calling up pitching prospect Justin Dunn. Dunn was a part of the Edwin Diaz and Robinson Cano trade and has pitched well in AA this season, throwing 131.2 innings with over 10 strikeouts per nine and a 3.55 ERA. He is worth rostering in AL-only leagues and deeper mixed keeper formats.

Quick Hits
Javier Baez is expected to miss the rest of the regular season with a fractured thumb.

Reyes Moronta will undergo surgery this week on his labrum which will end his season.

Tony Watson is done for the season after being diagnosed with a fracture in his wrist.

Mike Trout underwent a procedure to address the foot injury he is dealing with. The procedure has a larger scary name that sounds worse than it is. The Angels seem hopeful that he will return before the end of the week.

Manager Bob Melvin stated that Jesus Luzardo will likely pitch out of the bullpen moving forward.

Orlando Arcia has been placed on paternity leave.

Mike Tauchman is expected to miss 6-8 weeks which will end his season for fantasy players.
