C.C. Sabathia to be evaluated today
With no real plan or timetable for return after a knee injury, the Yankees are going to get together and figure out what the heck to do with their big left-hander. As of this very moment, all we know is that Sabathia is not going to be ready to come off the DL when eligible, so now we wait.

SHOCKING: Carlos Quentin is hurt again
Quentin did a little something to his groin yesterday, so he’s likely to miss a day or two. This isn’t serious, though, but it is pretty expected.

John Danks is pretty much done
Danks gave us a lovely 5.06 FIP last year, and after yesterday’s disaster performance against the Astros, his 2014 FIP is up to 5.09 on the year. Danks’ BB% is in the double-digits, and his velocity is down a couple of ticks. Danks has a massive amount of money still left on his contract with the Chi Sox, and he’s only in his age-29 season, but neither of those facts mean you should have any interest in Danks for the foreseeable future. I hate to see a guy who has a rule named after him fall in the toilet at such a young age, but it seems that is the case here.

Marcus Stroman gets the boot
Miniature Marcus got the chance to throw some innings of the Jays bullpen, and even though those innings totally sucked, that’s not really the reason he’s going back to the minors. Stroman is still trying to convince some folks that a man of his diminutive stature can start ballgames, and to do so, he needs to continue to stay stretched out in the minors, where he has absolutely dominated this year.

The Fandango Four

SP: Garrett Richards, $10,000
The Astros and their team 93 wRC+ are to be taken advantage of outside of the Juicebox.

SP: Drew Smyly, $7,100
Smyly has been quite effective when given the chance to start, and he faces an Indians offense that has struggled against southpaws.

C: Salvador Perez, $3,700
OF: Alex Gordon, $3,900

The Royals get to go against Scott Carroll, whom I have made fun of enough for you to get my point.

Looks like a pretty grim Fandango Four.

Never played Grim Fandango? Classic PC game.

And yeah, my FG the Game lineup today is pretty laughable.
