Various News and Notes
According to Ken Rosenthal of MLB.com, the Dodgers are considering promoting top prospect, Gavin Lux. Lux has been fantastic in AAA, hitting .407/.493/.747 with 12 home runs in 44 games. He is a shortstop long term but has been playing some second base in order to give him a path to playing time in the Majors this year. He is a must-add in most formats.

Ryan McMahon went 1-for-4 with a walk-off home run versus the Braves on Monday. McMahon struggled to start the season, but in the second half, he is hitting .278/.367/.563 with 11 home runs and three stolen bases in 166 plate appearances. McMahon is playing every day and is being a bit overlooked.

Adalberto Mondesi is expected to be activated from the IL this weekend. According to manager Ned Yost, the Royals do not want him diving in the field or into bases, which would lead people to think they may give him a red light on the bases moving forward. This would shatter his value for the rest of the season as he isn’t very valuable without stolen bases.

Quick Hits
Brandon Nimmo is expected to rejoin the Mets by the end of the week. Nimmo has been dealing with a neck issue from the beginning of the season and has been out since May.

The Braves optioned Adam Duvall to AAA. Dansby Swanson was activated from the IL in a corresponding move.

Ramiel Tapia was placed on the 10-Day IL with a hand injury. It is being characterized as a contusion, so hopefully, he is back fairly quickly.

German Marquez was placed on the 10-Day IL with inflammation in his right arm. There is no timetable for his return.

Brendan McKay has been placed on the IL with shoulder fatigue. He is expected to be out for the minimum 10-Days.

Scott Kingery left Monday’s game with abdominal soreness. This appears to have been a sickness as opposed to an injury. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

Mike Moustakas left Monday’s game with wrist and palm soreness. He was hit in the wrist earlier in the game but was able to stay in for a bit. X-rays after the game were negative. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Note Mondesi has stolen 2 of 3 attempts over the past 5 games. I am curious if he is sliding versus diving or pulling off straight steals standing.
