Ottoneu Power Rankings: July 2016

We are now two thirds of the way through the season, and only a month out from the ottoneu trade deadline, so league races have narrowed down quite a bit and every move from here on out becomes critically important. Here is the link to last month’s rankings, which also includes links to the other rankings this season if you want to look at how things have changed.

Without further ado, the FanGraphs points league team rankings (1,340 teams):

Once again the #1 team remains the same, and all four months of the power rankings have had the same team at the top of the heap. Last month eleven teams were on pace to beat the FGPTS record of 20,530, but that number has slipped this month to only six. It still looks likely that at least one team will break the record this season. Offense continues to be the story this year. with all FGPTS teams averaging 5.23 Pts/G, up from 4.92 Pts/G last year but down a bit from the 5.30 Pts/G just last month. Pitching continues to be down, with an average Pts/IP of 4.97 compared to 5.14 Pts/IP in 2015.

Unfortunately I had some issues running my scripts for the 4×4 and 5×5 leagues, so I don’t have those rankings completed as this article is published, but I will update as soon as I get them finished (likely Friday night).
