Nolan Schanuel (vs RHP) and Jeimer Candelario (vs LHP) form a first base platoon.

Brice Matthews (.559 OPS) and Joey Loperfido (.706 OPS) are splitting time in the outfield.

Athletics

Denzel Clarke (.355 OPS) started in only two of the last four games, with Lawrence Butler (.631 OPS) moving to center field and Carlos Cortes (1.138 OPS) starting in right field.

Darell Hernaiz (vs LHP) and Jeff McNeil (vs RHP) remain in a second base platoon.

Blue Jays

Tyler Heineman (.774 OPS) and Brandon Valenzuela (.250 OPS) are splitting time at catcher.

• There are two outfield platoons, left field with Jesús Sánchez (vs RHP) and Davis Schneider (vs LHP), and right field with Nathan Lukes (vs RHP) and Myles Straw (vs LHP).

Guardians

Juan Brito started the last two games at second base.

David Fry (vs LHP) and Kyle Manzardo (vs RHP) form a platoon.

Rhys Hoskins (.838 OPS) with four straight starts.

Mariners

• With J.P. Crawford off the IL, the team settled into a predictable lineup.

Orioles

Samuel Basallo (.531 OPS) only started in two of the last five games.

Tyler O’Neill (.698 OPS), Dylan Beavers (.726 OPS), Leody Taveras (1.071 OPS), and Colton Cowser (.497 OPS) are splitting two outfield spots.

Rangers

• With Josh Jung banged up (shocked_face.gif), Ezequiel Duran has started three of the last four games at third base.

Rays

• Consistently unpredictable.

• Since coming off the IL, Taylor Walls has started three straight games while batting ninth.

Red Sox

Jarren Duran (.550 OPS) sat in two of the last three games.

Royals

• For now, the outfielders are rosterable because of the lack of talent and inconsistent playing time.

Tigers

• The team has not faced a lefty starter yet this season. There is a lot of mixing and matching going on. The only guys who seem to have a full-time job are Colt Keith, Gleyber Torres, Riley Greene, and Spencer Torkelson.

Twins

Austin Martin starts against lefties with Trevor Larnach sitting.

Victor Caratini (.665 OPS) started four straight games while playing at first base and catcher.

White Sox

• The corner outfield playing time is a bit of a mess (Luisangel Acuña with 12 starts in 13 games in center), especially with Austin Hays and Everson Pereira getting hurt. Right now, I think Andrew Benintendi will play every game (some as DH) and the other three spots will rotate between Derek Hill, Dustin Harris, and Tristan Peters.

Yankees

Trent Grisham (vs RHP) and Randal Grichuk (vs LHP) form an outfield platoon.

Amed Rosario (.941 OPS) started three straight games.

National League

Braves

Eli White (vs LHP) and Mike Yastrzemski (vs RHP) form a left field platoon.

Brewers

Luis Rengifo (.488 OPS) with four straight starts (2 vs LHP, 3 vs RHP) at third base.

Luis Ortiz (.528 OPS) started in just six of the last nine games.

Cardinals

Nolan Gorman (.728 OPS) sits against lefties.

Thomas Saggese (.644 OPS) started three straight games in left field over Nathan Church (.432 OPS).

Cubs

• Catcher-qualified Miguel Amaya (.929 OPS) started in seven of 12 games so far.

Moisés Ballesteros (.624 OPS) doesn’t face lefties and hasn’t played a game at catcher.

Diamondbacks

• Since being called up, Jose Fernandez (.958 OPS) started in six of nine games.

Alek Thomas only starts against righties. He doesn’t have an obvious platoon partner.

Dodgers

• Since Mookie Betts’s injury, Kyle Freeland started every game at second with Miguel Rojas and Hyeseong Kim 김혜성 splitting time at shortstop.

Giants

Jerar Encarnacion started (.579 OPS), six straight games, including one against a lefty.

Casey Schmitt didn’t play because of a bad back.

Marlins

Owen Caissie (vs RHP) and Austin Slater (vs LHP) form a right field platoon.

Javier Sanoja (vs LHP) and Graham Pauley (vs RHP) form a third base platoon.

Griffin Conine (vs RHP) and Heriberto Hernández (vs LHP) form a left field platoon.

Mets

Carson Benge (vs RHP) and Tyrone Taylor (vs LHP) form a left field platoon.

Nationals

• Lots of players are getting chances, as a rebuilding team should do, but it’s tough for anyone to be fantasy relevant on this team as a part-time player.

Luis García Jr. (vs RHP) and Curtis Mead (vs LHP) for a first base platoon.

Padres

• Here are the games (13 max) started between the 1B/DH options:

Gavin Sheets: 10
Miguel Andujar: 8
Nick Castellanos: 7
Ty France: 3

Depending on the league’s depth, Sheets might be the only one rosterable.

Phillies

• Just the two platoons. Edmundo Sosa (vs LHP) and Bryson Stott (vs RHP) at second base, and Brandon Marsh (vs RHP) and Otto Kemp (vs LHP).

Pirates

Nick Yorke (.979 OPS) started three of the last four games at third base.

Spencer Horwitz (.233/.351/.267) started seven straight games at first base.

Reds

Noelvi Marte (.377 OPS) with only seven starts in the first 13 games.

Rockies

Edouard Julien led off for four straight games, all against righties.

Troy Johnston (.375/.438/.589) with 10 straight starts.

• Over the last seven games, Jake McCarthy (.440 OPS) started in only four of them while batting seventh.

As a Rockies fan, I would love to see Freeland starting at second for the dodgers, as long as he can come back to make his starts on the mound every five days (alternatively I guess the Rox could take a pitcher back from the dodgers in exchange, but we don’t really have the rotation depth to lose freeland). This might close the gap in the division!
