Justin Mason’s Baseball Chat – April 17th, 2023

Here is today’s chat transcript:

8:55
Justin Mason: Chat will begin at the top of the hour as long as we have enough questions. In the meantime, please follow me on all my social media’s (twitter, tiktok, facebook, youtube, and instagram) at JustinMasonFWFB! I am doing regular podcasts on the FWFB podcast as well as three episodes a week for the Sleeper and the Bust so definitely make sure you are subscribed there as well!

9:00
Justin Mason: Happy Patriots Day!

9:00
Jax: Buy or Sell: hot starts from Josh Lowe and James Outman

9:02
Justin Mason: I am selling them if I can get a really good price. Both have been highly touted so you might be able to get a good price, but if I can’t get a top 100 player I am probably passing because they are both showing good underlying skills

9:02
Creamy: Given that this appears to be the “year of the disaster start,” are you modifying your approach to selecting 9 pitchers to start each week? For instance, are you less likely to start non-aces who are facing the best hitters’ line-ups for fear that they will hang 8 earned runs on your pitcher?

9:03
Justin Mason: I’m not changing much yet but that is mostly because I tend to be a more conservative player early on in the season. If you tend to be more aggressive than you may want to tone it down a little

9:03
BabyBump: Is it time to cut my losses on Manoah ?

9:03
Justin Mason: Way too early.

9:03
TribeGuy: Is this a new level for Yandy Diaz? 4 homers already and putting the ball in the air a ton (50% FB%, previous high 32%). Real or just early season variance?

9:04
Justin Mason: His launch angle is 15.6 degrees which is up over 10 degrees from his career, so we may be seeing the breakout. Still too early to tell for sure, but I would be rostering him just in case.

9:04
🙁: why do the diamondbacks hate pfaadt? seem to be doubling down on madbum

9:05
Justin Mason: I think he will be up pretty soon. They get the extra year of service time if they hold him down a little longer.

9:05
Guest: OPS league are you going with O’Hoppe or Elias Diaz and Coors Field?

9:05
Justin Mason: O’Hoppe

9:05
Insert Witty Name Here: Could use this answered asap for obvious reason, starting Bello this morning?  Thanks!

9:05
Justin Mason: I am passing

9:05
Bobo: Keep 2 of these 3: Luis Garcia, Taj Bradley, Dre Jameson

9:06
Justin Mason: Garcia and Bradley for me

9:06
Guest: To activate Taj Bradley would you drop Eovaldi, Whitlock or Elder? Thanks!

9:06
Justin Mason: Elder

9:06
Derek: Will need to drop one when Tatis returns.  Straw, Yelich, or JD Martinez.  Thoughts?

9:06
Justin Mason: Depends on the makeup of your team. If you need speed, then drop JD. If you dont, drop straw

9:06
Kyle: 10 tm H2H Cat lg. Just picked up Mitch Keller. Would you drop him for his teammate Johan Oviedo?

9:06
Justin Mason: Not yet

9:07
taking mi casas su casas too far?: how worried are you about this guy?

9:07
Justin Mason: Not super worried just yet. As long as Boston sticks with him, I will too for a while.

9:07
The Batman: Pretty standard league, my pitching is underperforming and I need upside. Jazz/Luis Garcia (HOU) for Logan Webb/Hoerner. Which side would you take?

9:08
Justin Mason: I feel like you could get more, but I would do it if its the best you can do.

9:08
Guest: 15 team Standard NFBC – Sit one of Alex Cobb, Taj Bradley, Hunter Gaddis, or Kyle Bradish? I have a feeling you will say Gaddis, but I need wins so I am leaning Cobb.

9:10
Justin Mason: If I am win seeking, I probably am sitting Bradish coming off the IL cr Bradley with the tough matchups

9:10
Steven: Josh Lowe or Brandon Marsh in an OBP and KO scoring league

9:11
Justin Mason: Marsh but it is close

9:11
Oh No Soto: What do we make of Juan Soto? Feels like a continuation from last years struggles. Walking a ton still but not much else. Would you trade for a player in the Corbin Carroll range?

9:11
Justin Mason: I am not worried about Soto at all. I actually just wrote something for Fantasy Pros in my buy low article on him

9:11
Cheap Seats: Hi Justin, In 5×5 roto, can you rank Bradish, Falter, Fujinami, and Battenfield? In saves only, do you like Boxberger or W. Smith? Thanks again for your expertise.

9:12
Justin Mason: Bradish, Falter, Bettenfield, Fujinami

9:12
Justin Mason: Smith over Boxberger

9:12
Sum: OBP is fine, but Tommy Edman isn’t running while the league is going wild. you sticking with him?

9:12
Justin Mason: I am for right now, but I was lower on him than the market coming into the season.

9:12
:/: bello or bradley ros ??

9:12
Justin Mason: Bradley

9:12
Paddy: Do you know where to find minor league statcast data? Every AAA park is now equiped for it

9:13
Justin Mason: I don’t but I can find out for you. Hit me up on twitter after this and I

9:13
Justin Mason: will get you the answer

9:13
bluebonnet: Hey Justin! What do you think about Braxton Garrett long term? Thanks!

9:14
Justin Mason: I think he can be a pretty good mid rotation starter. There is a little upside, but I dont know if he reaches is.

9:15
Justin Mason: Just a reminder, I try to get as many questions as I can, so don’t ask questions multiple times. It just slows everything down. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes before I get to a question because there are so many.

9:15
Grayson Rodriquez: Am I a decent buy low in redraft leagues?

9:15
Justin Mason: I think so. The skills are really good.

9:15
Closer Q: How would you rank Chafin, Finnegan, and Fulmer in a traditional 5×5 league?

9:15
Justin Mason: Fulmer, Chafin, Finnegan

9:15
Paddy: What does Baty rank for 3b going forward?

9:15
Justin Mason: TOp 12 ish

9:16
Insert Witty Name Here: How would you arrange these 5 players for 3 positions in 2B, 3B, SS : Grissom, Muncy, Stott, Witt, Jordan Walker?

9:16
Justin Mason: Witt, Muncy, Walker

9:16
Dr. Funk: 12 team 5×5 keeper roto with OBP please rank these 3B for ROS and long term:   Gunnar, Jung, Baty.

9:16
Justin Mason: Gunnar, Baty, Jung

9:16
George G: Would you rather start Hunter Green vs TB & @PIT, or Hunter Brown @ ATL in tradition stats league where lineups are set weekly?

9:16
Justin Mason: Green

9:16
Yordan: Jorge Mateo, any real improvement or just SSS fluke?

9:17
Justin Mason: I think it is mostly a SSS. Ride it while you can though

9:17
Michael No-pech: Would you drop Kopech for any of the following: E-Rod, Taijuan Walker or Nick Pivetta?

9:17
Justin Mason: I think you can for E-Rod

9:17
20longyears: Ke’Bryan Hayes has had a miserable start offensively, but he’s running a BABIP below .200, still hits the ball hard, and has an average launch angle of 14.9 degrees so far this year, which is a major change from last year’s 5.2. Breakout candidate?

9:17
Justin Mason: I think he is a really nice buy low. I just traded for him in a 3-Sport dynasty league.

9:17
Jonathan: Do you plan to update the 2023 Fantasy Expert Rankings
at any point during the season? Or is it just a BOY tool?

9:18
Justin Mason: It will be updated! I am talking with Paul about it today so more info to come soon.

9:19
Air Yordan: Have both Verlander and Rodon on IL. Doing ok without them so wondering if I cash one in for hitting help. Which of the 2 do you prefer? And would you try to deal now or wait until they’re closer to returning for a bigger haul?

9:19
Justin Mason: If you are doing ok right now, maybe wait until they are closer to get a bigger return.

9:19
Crone Zone: Is Kwan going to stay in the leadoff spot? I like him a lot less if he’s not leading off

9:19
Justin Mason: I think he will

9:19
Bryce Harper: What’s my ROS ranking if I’m able to return in May?

9:19
Justin Mason: He is a top 25 player ROS

9:19
Insert Witty Name Here: Which 2 OF gets squeezed from the 3 spots I have: Acuña (lol), Yelich, Jordan Walker, Seyia, Kelenic?

9:20
Justin Mason: Wow, you need to trade one of these guys. I guess Walker and Seiya

9:20
Insert Witty Name Here: And this is why I’m not smarter than you. I started Bello and just gave up a 3 run dong.

9:20
Justin Mason: Ugh… and now O’HOppe is hurt

9:21
Kingpin: So is Boxberger the Cubs closer now?

9:21
Justin Mason: I don’t think so. Still should be Fulmer

9:21
Mustin Jason: are you excited about zach neto? seems like a longshot that he’ll be good this year

9:22
Justin Mason: I am very intrigued, but I there probably will be some growing pains. I wasn’t able to get him in FAAB this weekend because he was so expensive.

9:22
Guest: how does the cardinals outfield shake out? spent a 4th round pick in NL only on Tyler O Neill, but he’s on the bench a lot… cut bait now?

9:22
Justin Mason: I’d hold for now. Man, I wish they would trade him.

9:22
Moneyball: Is Miles Mikolas droppable in all formats at this point?

9:23
Justin Mason: In most formats that aren’t deep. I still think he will be ok, but you can grab him off the wire later if needed.

9:23
Colton: For AAA statcast data you go to the Gamefeed tab and switch the level to AAA and you’ll get everything

9:23
Justin Mason: There you go!

9:23
Max: Does calling up Brett Baty now essentially cost the Mets a year of his control, while not even having the opportunity to gain a draft pick should he finish top three in ROY voting?  Could they have just waited another week or two?

9:23
Justin Mason: Can’t risk falling behind with some of our best talent in AAA. He could still finish top 3 in the ROY

9:23
Mark: Any idea why a team (in this case the Rays) wait to IL a guy when it’s clear they’re gonna need a stint (Springs?). Going on multiple days with a short roster (both my fantasy team and the Rays)!

9:24
Justin Mason: No idea. Super frustrating.

9:24
Nick: Do you think Mason Miller‘s next start comes with the A’s? And do you see him as a worthy stash? The back end of my pitching staff has been a series of swings and misses and am hoping to solidify things a little.

9:24
Justin Mason: I don’t think it is

9:24
Pixley: Can Ji Hwan Bae stop striking out and hit .250? Seems like a nice swiss army knife type off the wire, but i worry about the PT if he cant get the avg up . I need to activate Nootbaar and cant decide whether i should drop Bae or Chris Sale .

9:25
Justin Mason: I think he will be fine. He has a good hit tool. I have a hard time dropping Sale for him, but understand it at this point.

9:25
Walla Walla Ron Washington: Dynasty league: traded Gaddis and Andy Pages for Eovaldi, based on his great peripherals so far. Results gonna improve to match, you think?

9:25
Justin Mason: I think that was a great buy low

9:25
chris: spent $10 in auction in AL Only for Berrios to see if there was a bounceback in store, hammered by royals and angels but shuts down the rays. How do you feel?

9:26
Justin Mason: The underlying numbers look better than last year, but I am still scared of Berrios.

9:26
KCbbq: Burger has hit well so far. Does he stay up when Moncada returns? Sure looks like he deserves it but where would he play?

9:26
Justin Mason: I picked him up in multiple leagues. Maybe this is where he cements a role.

9:26
Chris: How much attention should I pay to Mason Miller?  More than Taj Bradley?

9:27
Justin Mason: I think he is interesting, but he hasn’t built up a lot of innings and it is still the A’s so wins will be hard to come by. Bradley is way more interesting.

9:27
Vince: 10-tm H2H cat league suffering from Ray, and now Springs injuries . Any value in Braxton Garrett, Domingo German, ERod, Falter, Strahm or Soroka (not far from return)? Senga, Morton and Jameson are my backend SPs.

9:28
Justin Mason: I prefer both Garrett and Eduardo Rodriguez to Jameson.

9:28
KCbbq: Small sample aside what do you make of Rooker’s fast start? I thought I read he was a first round pick by the Twins. Wondering if he has staying power, then again he’s playing on a lousy team.

9:29
Justin Mason: He has mostly been a short side platoon guy and while he is hitting righties right now, he has a pretty high BABIP against them right now. HE will cool down, but he could play a lot since they don’t have a lot else.

9:30
Tanner Bibee: Am I the real deal? unhittable in AAA. Do you anticipate a callup, not currently on 40 man however.

9:31
Justin Mason: I think he could be really good, but I just don’t know that the Guardians want to start his clock yet.

9:31
KCbbq: Thoughts on what to expect when Montas returns. Shoulder issue too sketchy to warrant picking up via FAAB?

9:31
Justin Mason: I would stay away unless I had unlimited IL.

9:31
HappyFunBall: 2xCatcher league, Smith out for a week at least. Grab Bethancourt, Gomes, or Nola? Or sit with a zero until he’s back? I’m leaning towards the zero…

9:31
Justin Mason: I think I go Bethancourt.

9:31
Bill: Do you think L Garcia (HOU) will turn it around?  He was dropped in 15 team mixed.

9:32
Justin Mason: I think he has to be better than this. The underlying numbers are not good though… He should be rostered in a 15 teamer

9:32
Kingpin: Have to sit one this week in standard 5×5 NL-only – Taillon in 2nd straight start vs. LAD, Elder vs. Hou, or Ryne Nelson vs. SD. Leaning to benching Elder. You agree?

9:32
Justin Mason: Elder for sure

9:32
M: Are you buying or selling the hot starts from Sonny Gray and Justin Steele?

9:33
Justin Mason: I am buying Steele more than Gray. I am definitely regretting not drafting him much

9:33
GBS42: Justin, which one of these hitters would you bench, with the others all starting: Tyler O’Neill, Brett Baty, Jeimer Candelario, Lane Thomas

9:33
Justin Mason: Thomas

9:33
chris: edouard julien or zach neto rest of the way? AL Only, OBP and SLG instead of AVG

9:33
Justin Mason: Neto

9:33
Guest: I got Classe and Fairbanks.. .Do i need a 3rd RP?

9:33
Justin Mason: Depends on the size of the league

9:33
Kingpin: Standard 5×5 NL-only…hold Segura or drop for Barrero or Luis Garcia (Was)?

9:33
Justin Mason: Hold

9:34
Sam: I know it’s difficult to predict when players are called up.  Do expect to see Pfaadt strarting in majors in May?

9:34
Justin Mason: I do

9:34
Guest: Which do you trade and keep for upside (I have Turner, Kim, Rosario, Turang, and Mateo)?

9:34
Justin Mason: If I could get a good deal on MAteo right now,I would.

9:34
Pixley: Does Ryan Pressly right the ship? Seems like there are multiple good RP behind him waiting to take his job

9:34
Justin Mason: I was worried about Pressly in spring and still am. I would grab Montero just in case.

9:35
Sale: Tried to drop him last night but was outbid on my claims. Any faith in him against Minn? 10-tm h2h if that matters.

9:35
Justin Mason: I would sit him personally.

9:35
Vic: Mondesi’s best case scenario for 23 involves how many bags in your opinion?

9:35
Justin Mason: 30-40. Dude could run wild if he can stay healthy

9:35
chris: looking to upgrade my starting pitching in NL Only. Looking to buy-low, all these guys have ERAs of more than 4: scherzer, sandy, corbin, nola, webb, wheeler. Which of these to target for buy-low?

9:36
Justin Mason: All of them? lol. Burnes looked like himself in his most recent start, so if I could get him now I would be stoked. Webb has been getting more K’s which makes him super interesting too, but the defense is really bad behind him.

9:36
Bums: Do you like E. Ruiz or Berti for steals ROS?

9:36
Justin Mason: Ruiz

9:37
Trader Jerry’s: Would you prefer Andrew Vaughn or Jarred Kelenic ROS in a points format?

9:37
Justin Mason: Kelenic

9:37
Trader Joe: What do you think about a Nick castellanos for taj Bradley and Trent Grisham trade in a keeper league? Doesn’t look like castellanos’ power is returning

9:37
Justin Mason: Id do that

9:37
RG: Jose Miranda seems a little off; drafted as a bench 3B. Is he droppable in 12-tm std roto? Could swap for Spencer Steer or Oviedo

9:37
Justin Mason: I think I am holding him for now until I see steer is ok after leaving with an injury

9:38
Andrew Vaughn: Vaughn’s launch angle has decreased from last year and 2021. Anything to read into that or is it too early still?

9:38
Justin Mason: Still early, but I am not a Vaughn guy so I would be a little worried. Had a back issue in spring that worries me.

9:38
Nate: Think there’s still hope for Torkelson being a thing? I’m trying to suffer through stashing him and Casas in a deep keeper hoping one of them finally breaks out

9:39
Justin Mason: At this point I think Torkelson is mostly name value. I traded him in a dynasty league this spring for Nathaniel Lowe

9:39
Guest: Looking to bolster back of rotation…take chance on injured Montas and Ray or grab a low performer (Stripling)

9:39
Justin Mason: If I grabbed one, it would be Ray

9:39
Willy Adames: How many more PA until my ~20% K% seems sutainable? And if I keep my Ks down is my upside top-7 SS?

9:40
Justin Mason: This normalizes pretty quickly and the underlying numbers are pretty good. I think he definitely could be top 7

9:41
Bill: Are any of your sources low on Bobby Witt Jr.?  Nearly 700 career MLB plate appearances now with league average production and weak plate discipline… average SS defense…

9:42
Justin Mason: From a fantasy angle, you can’t really be unhappy with what he does. He is also making more contact in the zone and the swinging strike rate is down. Maybe the real life value is less, but he is a fantasy stud

9:42
Doot: Should I dump sale, morton, or heaney for taj in a 10 team roto league with k/9?

9:42
Justin Mason: I can drop Sale in a 10 for him.

9:42
Mark: I’m playing in a shallow H2H expanded categories league (about 220 rostered and 17 categories) with 5 bench spots.  Trying to figure out the right strategy and how to decided daily lineup decisions for my offensive spots.  Any general suggestions?

9:43
Justin Mason: 17 categories! That is crazy. I would run it through the auction calculator and see what it spits out.

9:43
Kelly: Is Domingo German worth rostering?

9:43
Justin Mason: In deeper leagues, yes

9:43
JV: Any concerns about Jose Abreu?  I was hoping for a little bit more power (think 22-25 homers) with plus OBP.  Slow start or concern?

9:44
Justin Mason: I have some concerns. Less contact and more swing and miss. I think I am benching for now and waiting to see things turn around.

9:44
Guest: Would you drop Winker for Soler considering the news of Winker’s oblique soreness?

9:44
Justin Mason: yes

9:45
Ethan: What do you think of an Edward Cabrera two-start next week @ ATL and vCHC. He is available in my League (12-Team 5X5) and seems to be the best option available.

9:45
Justin Mason: A bit risky especially the ATL start, but I could understand risking it.

9:45
Sticky Rosin Bag: NL-only 5×5 keeper league, rebuilding this year.  Over next 3 years what’s order of pitchers you like best: Grove, Ashcroft, Painter, Elder, Dodd, & Kyle Harrison?

9:46
Justin Mason: Painter, Ashcraft, HArrison, GRove, Dodd, Elder

9:46
Miguel Vargas: Am I worth buying low on in an OBP-points league? Worth giving up Rowdy Tellez for?

9:46
Justin Mason: That’s close because Tellez has turned it around, but I think I would in OBP

9:46
Dalai Lama: Is JD Davis for real if he gets consistent playing time?

9:46
Justin Mason: Probably not, but I would roster for now to see if he can make it work.

9:47
Kingpin: I grabbed Boxberger in 5×5 NL-only. Fulmer’s owner panic dropped Fulmer. Would you drop Ryne Nelson or Elder to grab Fulmer? Just drop Box for Fulmer?

9:47
Justin Mason: I would drop Elder

9:47
GBS42: Would you bench Freddy Peralta at home vs. Boston this week?  He got thumped by a strong San Diego offense in his last start.

9:47
Justin Mason: I think that is close. Probably not but I can understand doing it.

9:47
Pixley: Seems like the A’s could use the Strider plan for Miller. Call him up and use him out of the bullpen (he could probably be their closer) and then give him a handful of starts towards the end of the year and make him a fulltime starter going into 2024.

9:48
Justin Mason: Could be right but the A’s are typically pretty conservative with guys

9:48
Bob: Would you drop Luis Garcia for Taj?

9:48
Justin Mason: Sure

9:48
Bob the 2nd: I’m watching Ohtani pitch right now and I think he’s got potential

9:48
Justin Mason: Never heard of him lol

9:48
Pixley: Aaron Ashby an IL hold in dynasty or do you think the shoulder kills his value?

9:48
Justin Mason: I think you can move on if you have a full IL.

9:48
Scott: Do you think Matthew Liberatore is going to make a fantasy impact this season?

9:49
Justin Mason: Probably not a big one. I don’t think the Cardinals like him that much TBH

9:49
Benny Bob: Saddled with a bunch of aging vet SP’s in a dynasty league – Manaea, Sale, Thor, Berrios.  Is there hope any of these turn back the clock?

9:49
Justin Mason: Probably not

9:49
cinnabon: Hey, curious if you have any insight into how the prospect team missed so significantly on Volpe’s speed? He received a 45/40 and currently has 87th percentile sprint speed. I don’t mean to be critical, just curious how this could happen

9:50
Justin Mason: Prospect evaluators only get to see guys in short spurts. Can’t get everything right.

9:50
Cedric Mullins: Yesterday was all for YOU! I’m getting hot again

9:50
Justin Mason: LET’S GOOOOOOOO

9:50
:/: sweepers don’t really exist, right?

9:50
Justin Mason: They are like leprechauns.

9:51
Justin Mason: I have about 10 minutes left so I am going to do another speed round to answer as many questions as I can.

9:52
Bad Brad: Bradish coming off the IL. Usually avoid for the first start but it’s against the Nats. Risk it?

9:52
Justin Mason: I am risking it in a number of leagues.

9:52
Ethan: I smell a Pfaadt, but I don’t think we will see one anytime soon.

9:52
Justin Mason: Well played

9:52
Why not Zoidberg?: What’s happening with Manoah? Would you be thinking about shopping him?

9:52
Justin Mason: I am holding.

9:52
Travis: Thoughts on Greyson Rodriguez? Needs to trim the BB, but his Ks and SwStr% look solid. 3.24 xFIP, 3.95 FIP — is that the range we should expect this year for his ERA rather than his current 6.91 mark?

9:52
Justin Mason: I think you hold him. The skills are fine

9:52
diadem: Tovar…I know it’s April but what is he doing wrong? Doing right? Where should I be on the panic-o-meter?

9:53
Justin Mason: Things should get better as it warms up in Colorado.

9:53
Chip: Why is there a game on right now?

9:53
Justin Mason: Patriots Day in Boston

9:53
ben: got any opinions on harold ramirez TB for dynasty?

9:53
Justin Mason: I think he is a decent win now piece, but if you aren’t competing send him away

9:53
Mugghead: Most likely to emerge as closer this year: Chapman, Puk, Nick Anderson? Thanks for the time.

9:53
Justin Mason: Puk

9:53
Sam: Hunting a QS w a weekly GS cap, would you start Flaherty today?

9:53
Justin Mason: I am in a few leagues.

9:53
seth: Would you swap out Alex Call or Kyle Isbel for someone on the waiver wire like Kiermaier, Pham, Maton, or Daza?

9:54
Justin Mason: No

9:54
Webs: Will a new glove fix Taylor Rogers? Will anything fix Taylor Rogers?

9:54
Justin Mason: I am really worried about him. I think he is hurt

9:54
Kevin: Jorge Soler’s statcast looks juicy to me. Am I getting fooled by SSS, or do you think 30+ HRs is a real possibility?

9:54
Justin Mason: I think it is real if he can stay healthy

9:54
chris: even in 10 team AL Only, is there anything there with Elvis andrus? plays every day and eligible at 2B and SS which helps, but his production is just totally empty…

9:54
Justin Mason: It is going to stay empty

9:54
Need some Dingers: Rowdy Tellez was cut in our league drop  Farley or Friedel for him? 6 cat with OBP 10 team.

9:55
Justin Mason: I think I could drop Fraley

9:55
Large Marge: Is there any hope for Baez? He’s on my wire, seems like he’s starting to hit

9:56
Justin Mason: Nope

9:56
flux capacitor: What chance does a healthy Brandon Hughes get a shot at Cubs closer?

9:56
Justin Mason: 15%

9:56
Craig Kimbrel: Should I even be rostered in dynasty leagues?

9:56
Justin Mason: Probably not

9:56
Need some Dingers: Cut Tony Gonsolin for German? 6 cat w/ QS. I have springs, McKenzie, haniger and iglesias all on IL.

9:56
v2morlew: I’ve got Mike Soroka stashed on my bench right now, hoping he can contribute as some point soon.  Am I just wasting a roster spot?

9:56
Justin Mason: I would try and hold on to Gonsolin but I understand moving on.

9:57
Justin Mason: Soroka need volume to make him fantasy viable and I just don’t know that he gets it.

9:57
Joe: Would you look to sell high on Adley? Statcast numbers are a little underwhelming.

9:57
Justin Mason: If you can get a haul, sure

9:57
Kevin: How concerned are we about Christian Walker? K% is down, but so is literally everything else.

9:57
Justin Mason: I am a little worried, but am still holding in deeper leagues.

9:57
Guest: Bryan De la Cruz has seemingly taken over one of the OF spots in Miami.  Is that sticky?  or will a run of poor play put that in jeopardy?

9:58
Justin Mason: they talked him up a lot in spring so it definitely could stick

9:58
Kyle: Santander, any reason to panic yet?

9:58
Justin Mason: no

9:58

Given that this appears to be the “year of the disaster start,” are you modifying your approach to selecting 9 pitchers to start each week? For instance, are you less likely to start non-aces who are facing the best hitters’ line-ups for fear that they will hang 8 earned runs on your pitcher?
