Is 3B the deepest position?

You can get better than 12-team league average production from a Donaldson-Urias at #16-18.

No, it’s actually considered the shallowest other than catcher this year.

The auction calculators tend to agree 3B is very deep for non-shallow formats. Not so much star potential compared to other positions, but the replacement level is highest. The relative value between the 10th and 25th best 3B is the smallest of any position which means you can pretty safely wait to get decent production from 3B without using a lot of draft/auction capital.

Urias’ triple eligibility is a nice kicker to his value.

Justin, where you you put Josh Rojas in here if he were included? Looks like he will be eligible at 3B soon. I’m guessing around 21-22?

one of these years Moncada is gonna put up something like .300/35/15/100/100 and be a top ten player. but i’ll be damned if i know which one of these years it’ll be

This is the position that’s the biggest head scratcher for me. If getting Ramirez in the first doesn’t line up, then I could see going after Machado or Mondesi, but part of me just says to wait until Rodgers or Suarez to see if Rodgers’ SLG vs lefties can creep back up into the .420-.430 range, or if Suarez can get the AVG back up 30-40 points and approximate Nolan arenado’s value. I guess even Donaldson can do that. Candelario could have a handful of doubles clear the wall and provide mid 20s hr…and if DH comes to NL JD Davis would be a real nice value that late.
