Tomorrow, April 3, will be the 22 year anniversary of the John Hughes film “Beethoven” being released in the United States. For anyone who doesn’t remember that particular piece of cinema, here is the trailer. Warning: it is so 90’s it hurts.

On today’s agenda:
1. Jose Reyes to the disabled list, Melky Cabrera to leadoff
2. Poor velocity, poor results from CC Sabathia
3. A lineup swap in Philadelphia
4. The Daily Five

Opening Day — at least in the northern hemisphere — is now here! Stick with the Roto Riteup, brought to you by DraftKings, for relevant fantasy baseball news from yesterday and picks for today. The Daily Five will be an ongoing subsection of the Roto Riteup where Zach Sanders and I will recommend certain players that we see as good picks that day. In order to play, you sign up for free and then select your 10-man roster and spend as much of the allotted $50,000 filling up your lineup card.

On today’s agenda:
1. Clayton Kershaw to the disabled list
2. Rajai Davis‘ value
3. Jenrry Mejia to the rotation
4. The Daily Five

Before we get started on the fantasy baseball news, let us acknowledge and celebrate the 15th anniversary of “Futurama.” That’s right, 15 years ago my favorite cartoon — barely edging out “Rocko’s Modern Life” and “Archer” — debuted. Normally I would have a scene or clip picked out to link to, however attempting to boil Futurama down to a single clip is impossible. Since the debut and the original four seasons, it has spawned four movies (okay, really a fifth season) and two additional seasons. Personally I think Futurama’s (multiple) endings have sewn up the show for me, however I would not be against additional seasons; I’m looking at you, Netflix.

On today’s agenda:
1. Cole Hamels officially on the disabled list
2. Corey Kluber is still available
3. The hot corner on the north side
4. Archie Bradley to Triple-A

Tomorrow will mark the 12th anniversary of the Taking Back Sunday album Tell All Your Friends. This album more than any other had a big effect on me back in high school and I’ll admit this song played on my MySpace page. As a matter of fact, I still put this album on the ol’ record played and jam to some old school alternative rock.

On the agenda:
1. Geovany Soto to miss 10-12 weeks
2. Trevor Bauer to the minors
3. Billy Hamilton: Shortstop?

Welcome to the first Monday edition of the 2014 Roto Riteup. I was hanging out with my nearly five-year-old cousin, so I asked him to write up an introduction for today’s edition.

“You should say something nice. You should write everything is awesome. Kung-Fu Panda. You should write Po. You should write something on wrestling.”

On today’s agenda:
1. Jurickson Profar out 3 months
2. Joe Kelly as fifth starter, dream ruiner
3. Tanner Roark vs Jenrry Mejia
