Notable Workloads
•Alexis Díaz, CIN: Three of the last four days and four of the last six; 16 pitches on Friday. | RosterResource
Díaz was pretty shaky Friday, so he might get Saturday off in favor of Lucas Sims or Ian Gibaut.
•Devin Williams, MIL: 23 pitches on Friday. | RosterResource
Williams’s availability isn’t a sure thing on Saturday; if he’s down, a save chance could go to Peter Strzelecki, Elvis Peguero, or Joel Payamps.

Outlier Saves
•Sam Bachman, LAA | RosterResource
Friday made back-to-back days with Outlier Saves for the Angels, with Jacob Webb bailing out closer Carlos Estévez after he walked all three batters faced on Thursday. Estévez’s job is secure, but he was unavailable Friday after throwing three of four days and 20 erratic pitches the day before. Bachman was very effective in the eighth and as such kept going to finish the game for his first career save.
Bachman’s been excellent to open his MLB career, allowing just one run in 12 innings, racing to the bigs after being the ninth overall pick in 2021.
•Jakob Junis, SFG | RosterResource
The Giants had already burned through five other relievers when Camilo Doval blew his save chance in the ninth, and used Taylor Rogers in a tie game in the tenth. That left Junis as the closer for the 11th, which he handled no problem. The righty needed just ten pitches for a 1-2-3 inning to seal San Francisco’s win. He’s been a solid multi-inning arm, with 48 strikeouts in 39.1 innings spanning just 19 appearances.

AJ Minter should be # 2 in Atlanta. They turn to him when Iglesias can’t go. But these charts are excellent.
