No shot Sewald is available Wednesday. Andrés Muñoz, Justin Topa, and Matt Brash are all possibilities to close.
•Alexis Díaz, CIN: Four of the last five days; 14 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Lucas Sims and Ian Gibaut both threw a lot of pitches Tuesday, but they might have to be available in a big series against the Brewers. Alex Young, Derek Law, and Buck Farmer are also possibilities.
•Justin Lawrence, COL: 31 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Daniel Bard is the likeliest closer on Wednesday.
•Josh Hader, SDP: 24 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Robert Suarez, Steven Wilson, or Tim Hill could get the ball in the ninth on Wednesday if Hader’s pitch count was a little too high on Tuesday.

Outlier Saves
•Aaron Loup, LAA | RosterResource
Carlos Estévez had a nightmarish outing on Tuesday, giving up four runs in an inning of work in a non-save opportunity, although all the runs were unearned. Fortunately he didn’t cough up the lead and let the Tigers walk the game off, so Loup got a save chance in a 7-6 game. Despite the zombie runner on second, he made quick work of the Tigers, with a grounder to short and two strikeouts for his first save of the year. He’s got a 4.71 ERA but has been on a run of five straight scoreless appearances since getting torched for four runs on July 7th.

Love how Ginkel went from not on the board to closer without a word from this column.
I was waiting for the Ginkel comment
