Committee Clarity

Heath Hembree, CIN | RosterResource

Hembree continues to get the opportunity to close out games and he continues to do the job. On Friday, he couldn’t have made a much clearer case to be the Reds’ primary closer as he struck out the side on 12 pitches to complete a 2-0 shutout win over the division-leading Brewers. Amir Garrett, who has 6.2 scoreless innings over his last 10 appearances, still gives the team a lefty option when the situation calls for, but Hembree is starting to separate himself. The 32-year-old has four saves in his last five outings and has allowed only one earned run over his last 6.1 innings while striking out 12.

anyone think roberto osuna could be purchased from the mexican league to be used as a closer this year? His numbers look really good so far this year.
