Notable Workloads
•Rowan Wick, CHC: 10 pitches on Sunday; 28 pitches on Saturday.| RosterResource
Brandon Hughes is the Cubs’ lead horse in their closing committee anyway, and he should be available Monday.

Outlier Saves
•Joe Jiménez, DET | RosterResource
Sunday was a rough outing for closer Gregory Soto, who gave up an RBI double to Marcus Semien followed by a two-run homer to Corey Seager, turning a four-run lead into a save opportunity for Jiménez. The righty settled the game down, retiring both men he faced and recording a strikeout for his second save of the season.
Jiménez was the Tigers’ All-Star on a bad 2018 team, but 2022 is easily his best season in the majors. His walk rate is the lowest it’s ever been, and he’s continued to strike batters out at a very strong clip—a 34% rate this year.
