Outlier Saves
•Chris Murphy, BOS | RosterResource
The Red Sox went with some interesting bullpen management in Chris Sale’s return, using just two relievers to get the last 13 outs of the game. Kyle Barraclough got the first four, with Murphy getting the last nine in three hitless innings. He’s been a valuable multi-inning weapon for the Sox, with a 2.94 ERA in 33.2 innings over just 11 relief appearances.
•Abner Uribe, MIL | RosterResource
Devin Williams pitched against the heart of the White Sox’s order in the ninth inning of a tied game, which led Uribe to try to protect a one-run lead in the tenth. He passed with flying colors, earning his first career save with a 1-2-3 inning. The flame-throwing rookie has had an excellent start to his big-league career, with a 1.35 ERA in 13.1 innings, along with 14 strikeouts. He’s allowed just seven hits.
