We will always include a link to the full Closer Depth Chart at the bottom of the Bullpen Report each day. It’s also accessible from the RosterResource drop-down menu and from any RosterResource page. Please let us know what you think.

Notable Workloads
•Reynaldo López, CHW: 11 pitches on Tuesday; 21 pitches on Monday. | RosterResource
Kendall Graveman and Aaron Bummer both had Tuesday off, so they should be available Wednesday.
•Ryan Pressly, HOU: 20 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
20 pitches isn’t a ton, but Pressly was dealing with illness about a week ago and is yet to pitch back-to-back days, so it might be enough to keep him out of action on Wednesday. Rafael Montero or Bryan Abreu could close.
•Carlos Estévez, LAA: Three of the last four days; 17 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
José Quijada or Jimmy Herget could close Wednesday if Estévez is down.
•Jhoan Duran, MIN: 24 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Co-closer Jorge López will be well rested on Wednesday; he last appeared on Saturday.
•Trevor May, OAK: 28 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
•Dany Jiménez, OAK: 27 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
The A’s are now 2-9, so they don’t exactly have an easily-determinable closer, but if they need one on Wednesday it probably won’t be May or Jiménez. Jeurys Familia should be available.
•Josh Hader, SDP: 31 pitches on Tuesday. | RosterResource
Luis García, Steven Wilson, and Tim Hill are all plausible closers on Wednesday.

Outlier Saves
•Nick Anderson, ATL | RosterResource
A.J. Minter threw 12 pitches Sunday and another 20 on Monday, so he wasn’t going to be available today no matter what. That left the ninth inning to Anderson, and he protected a one-run lead quite easily, throwing just 12 pitches to retire the Reds in order. Anderson wasn’t even supposed to be on the Opening Day roster but was recalled from the minors when Raisel Iglesias went down with a shoulder strain right before the season started, and he’s proved his inclusion was justified by striking out eight of the 20 batters he’s faced with no walks and just three hits allowed.

The Oakland situation is maddening… for all one knows one has been hanging onto a setup guy for more than a week in the hopes of seeing one of what may only end up being 20 save chances all year. :/
They can’t keep going to Trevor May but Danny Jimenez is not getting it done either. What a mess.
