We will always include a link to the full Closer Depth Chart at the bottom of the Bullpen Report each day. It’s also accessible from the RosterResource drop-down menu and from any RosterResource page. Please let us know what you think.

Notable Workloads
•Kenley Jansen, BOS: 27 pitches on Sunday. | RosterResource
Chris Martin and John Schreiber are the two top options to close things out on Monday if Jansen is unavailable.
•Emmanuel Clase, CLE: 24 pitches on Sunday. | RosterResource
James Karinchak would probably close Monday if Clase is unavailable.
•Carlos Estévez, LAA: 25 pitches on Sunday; 18 pitches on Saturday. | RosterResource
Jimmy Herget and José Quijada are both good options to close out Monday’s game if needed.
•Clay Holmes, NYY: 9 pitches on Sunday; 14 pitches on Saturday. | RosterResource
Michael King probably won’t be available Monday after 32 pitches Saturday, which would leave Wandy Peralta and Ron Marinaccio as the Yankees’ top options.
•Trevor May, OAK: 31 pitches on Sunday. | RosterResource
It’s not really clear who the A’s closer is, but May is as likely an option as any. Jeurys Familia and Dany Jiménez will both be well-rested Monday, with Jiménez having thrown only seven pitches Sunday.
•Seranthony Domínguez, PHI: 29 pitches on Sunday. | RosterResource
Craig Kimbrel threw 22 pitches in his inning Sunday, so he may not be available either. That’d leave José Alvarado as the likeliest closer on Monday. It’s also worth noting Alvarado is the only member of the Phillies’ committee who’s pitched well out of the gate.
Injury News
•Andrés Muñoz, SEA: Placed on the 15-day IL (deltoid strain) on Sunday. | RosterResource
Shoulder strains are typically big cause for concern but fortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Muñoz’s particular injury. Nothing is structurally wrong with his shoulder, but he’s not bouncing back from outings as hoped, and the Mariners are “playing the long game” and want to make sure his pain gets cleared up. The hope is that all he’ll need is the minimum stint on the injured list.
Muñoz had been sharing closing duties with Paul Sewald, picking up one save in the early going of this season. With Muñoz out, Sewald is likely going to handle ninth-inning duties himself. Matt Brash will also likely play a bigger role in the end of games, and he attempted to close out Sunday’s game with Sewald having pitched back-to-back days.
Outlier Saves
•Tim Mayza, TOR | RosterResource
Jordan Romano blew his save chance in the ninth inning on Sunday, and while Trevor Richards was the first man to get a shot on in the tenth inning, he found himself facing Shohei Ohtani with the bases loaded and two outs. That led to the lefty Mayza getting the call to get the last out, and he made quick work of Ohtani, retiring him on three pitches on a grounder to second.
•Ian Gibaut, CIN | RosterResource
Cincinnati attempted to get a six-out save from Alexis Díaz on Saturday, and it didn’t go well, throwing 32 pitches and taking the los with the Phillies walking it off in the ninth. Gibaut actually got the loss, but he had a tough situation to get out of, so he was right back in the saddle on Sunday. Gibaut made quick work of the Phillies, throwing a 1-2-3 inning on 10 pitches for his second career save.
•Tyler Rogers, SFG | RosterResource
Camilo Doval worked back-to-back days on Friday and Saturday, so he evidently wasn’t available on Sunday. That left the submarining Rogers (not his brother, Taylor, who got two outs in the eighth) to pitch the ninth. He pitched a 1-2-3 inning for his first save of the season and 17th of his career.
