What is a 15-team, 10-Keeper league with contracts to do about the Wander Franco situation? I’m not the commissioner, just the unfortunate soul who locked in Wander for $33 until 2027.

I feel that I’m at a competitive disadvantage from unforeseen consequences, plus he might not even be able to enter the United States! Most sites don’t have him listed in their positional rankings, dynasty rankings, etc.

Our League Constitution states:

4)  Anti-Yankee Clause – No contracts can be broken by any owner except for the following reasons: 1) the player’s death; or 2) the player’s retirement (by player’s decision, forced by injury, or loss of effectiveness). All other instances (TJ surgery, prolonged injury rehab, drug suspension, ban from baseball, etc.) will not be justifiable grounds for an owner to terminate a player’s long-term contract.

Thoughts on this clause and the fantasy implications? I know it’s delicate given what he’s being accused of, and I’m not making light of it by focusing on my own fantasy baseball situation (when real people have been harmed by him in real life), but shouldn’t we have a Wander Franco clause? If a player is banned from playing for doing something truly, truly disturbing and illegal, why should his contract be guaranteed in a fantasy league?
