Jeff Zimmerman: I’m possibly adding him in some leagues. As always, it depends on the replacement

Jeff Zimmerman: Hader can’t be started

Jeff Zimmerman: If a team needs help, he needs to be replaced.

Sean: Thoughts on Trevor Rogers ros? Where would he rank in your waiver wire pitchers?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’m not high on him at all. Voth-Watkins area

Prospect Lover: As we wait for Carroll next week, how do you feel about the possible contributions from Garrett Mitchell, Eguy Rosario, and, maybe, Drew Waters the rest of the way?

Scotty: Corbin Carroll is getting the call! What are your expectations for him?

Ted: Just snagged Carroll.  Redraft format.  What are expectations/projections for ROS?  Power + speed?  Will he get everyday ABs?  Thanks.

John: Carroll, McCarthy, Thomas are all LH Hitters.  As is Varsho.  Does this present a problem vs LHPs?

CK: Hi Jeff! Pablo Lopez RoS schedule looks to be vLAD, @ATL, vNYM, vPHI, vCHC, vWAS, @MIL. In a 12 team league where I need W and to protect ERA, do you think it could be worth dropping him to stream guys like Jake Odorizzi with much easier schedules?

Jeff Zimmerman: If I won’t start a guy for two weeks, he’s gone for me. The SF Alex’s fit into this boat. Single starts at the Dodgers.  The next two weeks are half the remaining season. I want to shove during these final weeks.

kcc26: more likely to help with saves 2 weeks from now (thinking playoffs): montero or puk?

Jeff Zimmerman: Montero, always go with a winning team

Jake: As a team locked into the #1 seed of a 12 team H2H league, is it worth it to hold onto Hader for these next two weeks in hopes that he rights himself for the fantasy playoffs? Or cut bait now and hope to hit on someone on the WW?

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d take my chances on the wire in the playoffs

Wandy Wondering: Would you bid on any of the active Yankees relievers and if so whom?

Ryan: Thanks Jeff as always. If I prioritize wins for SP Pickups this week, is this the correct ranking D. Peterson/Clevinger/Bello/Hudson?

Jeff Zimmerman: Yes

BAL SPs: Voth, Kremer, Brandish, Watkins all getting some love. Who do you like the most? Are they all just matchup dependent or do you believe in one or more?

Jeff Zimmerman: Matchups matter for sure. In a neutral context my system ranks them Kremer, Bradish, Voth, Watkins

Carroll: Is Corbin Bersen going for $300 because he’s awesome or because every league has some negligent clown with $300 left?

Jeff Zimmerman: The Tout league allows trading of FAAB and getting some back from injuries. I know in one league, the first place person had the $300

Jeff Zimmerman: In the other one, the person was in 7th

Outfielder: Need an OF (obp, al league) Oswaldo Cabrera, Drew Waters, Victor Reyes (currently hot but…) And are 2 they all better than Myles Straw at this point?

Jeff Zimmerman: All three are better than Straw IMO. You order is right

Yankees Pen: Zach Jackson didn’t get the save today. Would you cut for one of the Yankees committee or hold with Holmes due back Monday?

Jeff Zimmerman: Hold but make sure Hughes and Montero aren’t rostered

Ryan: Saves are very competitive and all the RPs listed in this week:s article are already taken. Would you speculate instead on Herget or Rodriguez (CHC)?

Jeff Zimmerman: Neither

scottemc: Kremer looked really good against the Astros, is he the best of the Orioles trio (w/ Watkins/Voth)? Startable vs. Athletics?

Jeff Zimmerman: Voth might be the same in talent as Kremer. At least some Oriole’s pitching is streamable this year.

Nils: Looking ahead to Sept.. should I be worried I might miss starts / get innings capped from teams looking ahead to the playoffs on any of the following starters …Ranger Suarez, Logan Webb, Cristian Javier, Tony Gonsolin.

Jeff Zimmerman: Gonsolin worries me the most, but I could see all of them limited to 60 IP. There is just no way to know

Gabe: Thoughts on C. Schmidt’s start today. Streamable ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: He was fine and likely good for another start since Cortes is on his phantom IL stint.

Broken Bat: Crazy Jays have not called up Moreno. Offense is bad. Kirk in a slump.Jays need Moreno now more than snakes need Carroll.

Jeff Zimmerman: No, I would never count on a rookie catcher giving a team a spark

Winning team saves: Your “always go with a winning team” adage makes sense. Should I cut Quijada for Johnny Lasagna (loaisiga)?

Jeff Zimmerman: You could trade away but make sure you get someone decent

Prospect Lover: Change of scenery hasn’t done anything for CJ Abrams. Are you prepared to reassess long term value based on his MLB struggles?

Jeff Zimmerman: He’s not ready for the majors. He needs to shove in AAA for at least half a season before I’m interested.

Brian: Considering trading Urquidy for mcclanahan in AL only league to hope to gain in Whip and Era for this year Urquidy is a carry over. Mcclanahan is not

Jeff Zimmerman: If the trade helps you win, go for it.

Anselm: Matt Manning or Drew Smyly ROS in a 12 team roto league with QS? I’m in first place by a hair, and need to cut one…. thanks.

Jeff Zimmerman: Manning has a nice two-start week, so it’s him. I’m going week by week and some cuts are going to look bold, but if the player doesn’t have a chance to start, they are gone

Salty: Jeff – in the league you listed D Peterson getting picked up in FAAB, is that one of the leagues where you can’t pick up a player until he is promoted?  And if so, does it matter if the player already appeared in the majors?  I’ve heard either Eno or Paul talk about league rules like that before, and wondered how that worked for a player like Peterson.

Jeff Zimmerman: Peterson got missed the week before. The WW structure is a disaster in this league so players can get missed.

Guest: Is Jung getting called up this week? Seeing potential reports.

Jeff Zimmerman: Probably not. I asked around and they want Duran and him to play every day. Maybe he’ll get the call once the MILB season is over.

Would you use $1 on a potential 2023 keeper such as Royce Lewis, Matt Carpenter, Stowers, Drew Waters?If so, what order is your preference? If not, my holes are Arroyo and Kelly Carpenter pt and Velazquez (LAA), Moore and Michael Taylor are available for a little pop and SBs.

Mike: Ant thoughts on Garrett Mitchell from the Brewers. Any chance you see him getting regular playing time down the stretch?

Jeff Zimmerman: I don’t have a good feeling on the situation. I could see him stick if he hits from the go.

Tyrone: where would Trayce Thompson rank on your WW list? Also, is Stone gonna play with Carroll up?

Jeff Zimmerman: Stone is a drop. He’s not playing enough already

Jeff Zimmerman: I’d not consider Thompson. Some of the A’s (e.g. Brown, Kemp) are interesting with 6 starts vs RHP

D: Alek Thomas or Jake McCarthy ROS?

Jeff Zimmerman: Definitely Jake in roto

Salty: Last one from me – Still potential for some hiccups, but it looks like Albies might be back in 7-10 days – does Grissom stick around with heavy PT at DH, or is he strictly a bench bat at that point?

Jeff Zimmerman: There is talk of him moving to the OF. You might need to ask an Atlanta reporter if he’s taking pregame OF reps

Dick: I’m in first in a 15 team wth 7 man bench, no IL. have $160 of FAAB left. How much is Corbin Carroll worth if you don’t really need him, but might be good to keep off a competitor?

Jeff Zimmerman: I think you still want to be able to make moves if in the lead. Zero’s are a killer. $20 left should leave you with the ability to pick up some dregs every week on the way out.

Jeff Zimmerman: It might get crazier by next Sunday with the chance Gunnar Henderson will be called up Friday (next Orioles home start).

Percy Miracles: Would you cut Fairbanks for Ian Kennedy for saves?

Jeff Zimmerman: Just for Saves, no

Dave: Is Story a points league automatic starter (-1 for Ks)? Have had Jeff McNeil as a pretty good fill in.
