2. Casual Weather
TB at NYY- 10% chance of rain at game time. Sounds like this should play.

CHC at PIT- 20% chance of rain at game time but it seems like it will play also.

WAS at PHI- 10% chance of rain at game time. Sounds like this should play.

NYM at BAL- 15% chance of rain at game time, but that lessens as the game goes on.

CLE at KC- 15% chance of rain at game time, but isolated thunderstorms that precede the game. Seems like it could be a late start game.

 

3. Favorite Stacks
Indians vs Matt Harvey– In two starts, Harvey has allowed seven runs in just 5.2 innings pitched including two bombs.

Giants vs Jon Gray– Gray has struggled this season and while he was good at home last year and bad on the road, this year it has been the opposite.

Brewers vs Michael Fulmer – Fulmer won’t go deep and Daniel Norris will follow, but he has given up a total of 14 runs and six homers in 14.1 innings this year.

Pirates vs Jon Lester – Lester bounced back in his last outing, but was struggling before that. I believe more in the struggles than a resurgence.

Rays versus Masahiro Tanaka– The Rays lit up Tanaka in his last start versus them for six runs and two bombs.

 

4. Favorite Hitting Plays
Catcher (Expensive): James McCann or Yasmani Grandal vs MIN
Catcher (Punt/Value): Austin Barnes vs ARI. Barnes is hitting .400 versus lefties this year and if he is in the lineup, he is great cheap play. Also consider Will Smith, Jacob Stallings, Jacob Nottingham, and Cam Gallagher.

1B (Expensive): Luke Voit vs TB
1B (Punt/Value): Bobby Dalbec vs ATL. Dalbec is an all or nothing punt play at $2,000. Could go yard or strike out four times. Also consider Justin Smoak.

2B (Expensive): Brandon Lowe vs NYY.
2B (Punt/Value): Nick Solak vs HOU. Not a great matchup, but he hits lefties well and should hit at the top of the lineup. Also consider Jose Peraza, Jeff McNeil, and Kevin Newman.

3B (Expensive): Jose Ramirez at KC
3B (Punt/Value): Erik Gonzalez vs CHC. Gonzalez is hitting .391 against lefties and just hit his third homer of the year last night. Also consider Eric Sogard, Ke’Bryan Hayes, Yoshi Tsutsugo, and Bobby Dalbec.

SS (Expensive): Trevor Story vs SF
SS (Punt/Value): Elvis Andrus at HOU. This is a punt play for sure, but Andrus is supposed to be activated on Tuesday and he has upside and is cheap for a shortstop. Probably better options out there. Also consider Amed Rosario, Andres Gimenez, Kevin Newman, and Willy Adames.

OF (Expensive): Mookie Bettts, Charlie Blackmon, Mike Yastrzemski, Brandon Lowe, Anthony Santander, Christian Yelich, Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert.
OF (Punt/Value): A.J. Pollock, Ryan Mountcastle, Nick Solak, Tyler Naquin, Domingo Santana, Manny Margot, Kevin Keirmaier, Yoshi Tsutsugo, Oscar Mercado, Leodys Taveras, Josh Naylor.

 

5. Favorite Pitching Plays
Cash Games: Aaron Nola, Patrick Corbin, Zach Plesac, Framber Valdez, Ian Anderson

Tournament: Aaron Nola, Patrick Corbin, Julio Urias, Jon Lester, Zach Plesac, Framber Valdez

Contrarian Plays: Dallas Keuchel, Adrian Houser, Michael Pineda, Chad Kuhl, Mashiro Tanaka, Kevin Gausman, Trevor Richards
