Quick Hits

Yordan Alvarez left Sunday’s game with a knee injury.

He is expected to undergo further testing on Monday. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

Gabriel Montero left Sunday’s game with adductor tightness. He is expected to undergo further testing on Monday. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

Various News and Notes
Nick Yorke went 1-for-3 with a home run in the victory over the Reds on Sunday.

This was Yorke’s first career home run. He has been playing regularly since being called up and has played well, hitting .273/.304/.409 with that home run and two stolen bases in 23 plate appearances. Yorke doesn’t have a ton of upside, but could be a really interesting accumulator next season if he has an every day role.

Triston Casas went 3-for-4 with three home runs in the victory over the Twins on Sunday.

Casas went 3-for-7 on the day with two walks between both games of the doubleheader. He missed a lot of time with injury this season, but the power and eye at the plate are game changing if he can keep the strikeouts at a decent rate and stay healthy.

Miguel Vargas went 2-for-4 with a home run and stolen base in loss to the Padres on Sunday.

Vargas has struggled since being traded to the White Sox, but he is a former top prospect that should play every day next season and could be a sleeper in deeper formats.

Streaming Pitchers (Under 50% in CBS)

Pitcher for Today: None

There are only four games and only one eligible pitcher.

High Risk Options: Hayden Birdsong at ARI

Pitcher for Tomorrow: Jack Kochanowicz at CHW

Kochanowicz has pitched well recently and faces the worst team in MLB history.

High Risk Options: Landon Knack vs SD, Bailey Falter vs MIL, Mitch Spence vs TEX, Jonathan Cannon vs LAA, Jake Junis at CLE.

For those of you that would like to see how these picks play out, I have a doc I put together to track the stats from my recommended pitchers. It does not include the “High Risk Options.”
