Quick Hits
Willson Contreras left Tuesday’s game after being hit with a swing while catching.

Contreras reportedly broke his arm and will likely be out until after the All-Star Break. He is droppable in a lot of formats.
Tayler Saucedo left Tuesday’s game when he slipped on first base when trying to cover the bag?

He injured his knee on the play and is expected to hit the IL.
Various News and Notes
Kyle Harrison threw seven scoreless innings versus the Rockies in Colorado, allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out two in the victory.

Harrison really pounded the zone with his fastball and was very effective at getting weak contact. He has increased his zone rate quite a bit this year and it has translated into a great walk rate while not giving up a ton of home runs. If he can continue to do this, he could be taking a larger step forward for fantasy managers.
Trevor Williams threw five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and no walks while striking out eight in the victory over the Orioles.

— Rob Friedman (@PitchingNinja) May 7, 2024
Williams looked great in the outing, matching his career high in strikeouts in the victory. While this outing generates a fair amount of whiffs, Williams typically relies upon weak contact to make things work and doesn’t have a great track record of long term success. He is most likely a deep league play even with his sparkling surface stats.
Jurickson Profar went 1-for-4 with a home run in the loss to the Cubs on Tuesday.

Profar has been fantastic this season, hitting .338/.420/.538 with six home runs and two stolen bases. He is making amazing zone contact right now and is hitting the ball harder than he ever has as a pro. He should be rostered in all formats and is a buy high player right now.
Alex Verdugo went 3-for-5 with a home run in the victory over the Astros on Tuesday.

Verdugo is hitting .275/.632/.450 with five home runs and a stolen base this season. On top of his usually fantastic zone contact, Verdugo has a career high walk rate and is hitting in the middle of the Yankees lineup. He doesn’t have a ton of power, but can be a great source of average and runs and RBIs if he continues to hit high in the order.
