• Johnny Damon started his stint with the Indians rather slowly, reaching base only 26% of the time over 23 games in the month of May. June has been much kinder to Damon, as his OBP is a quaint .340. The 38-year-old left-hander also has hit two homers and stole a couple of bases this month. Damon’s been picking up hits in the past seven or eight days, and while hot streaks are bound to happen, I’d like to think this is part of Damon starting to pick up the pace and get with the program. He’s making more contact compared to the past couple of years, so it’s all going to come down to his BABIP. If you’re looking to take somewhat of a flier on an outfielder in deep leagues, think about giving Damon a shot.

• Chase Utley is projected to return to Philadelphia and make his 2012 MLB debut on Wednesday. Utley has been rehabbing his knee down in Clearwater, Florida, with the Phillies’ High-A affiliate. The Aqua Velva Man was dealing with knee problems last year, too, and it hampered his production. Utley hit 11 dingers and stole 14 bags, but he only managed to bat .259 over 103 games in 2011. Odds are Utley’s already snatched up if you need a middle infielder, but the team calling him up from the DL may need to drop a decent player to make room, and that’s where you swoop in.

• Talk is that Anthony Rizzo will be in the big leagues on Tuesday. The Cubs have been preparing by playing Bryan LaHair in the outfield, and things will begin to return to normal now that interleague play has been finished. Rizzo has been mashing in the minors, and Wrigley provides a much more friendly environment than he had last season in San Diego.

• Ryan Zimmerman has finally admitted that his shoulder is hampering him, so don’t be surprised to see the third baseman land on the DL. A DL stint would give Zimmerman a chance to rehab his shoulder without having to worry about game action for awhile, as well as giving him time to clear his head.

A Pitcher for Today: Tommy Milone at SEA
Milone has a good situation going for him at home, but he’s still got a good one on the road when he’s in Seattle.

A Pitcher for Tomorrow: Gavin Floyd at MIN
Before the season, I never thought I’d be able to recommend Floyd for streaming. But, he’s been bad enough this year that owners are dropping him left and right. Minnesota should give a chance for Floyd to get back on track.

A Hitter for Today: Tyler Moore at COL (Jeff Francis)
Moore has generally been playing against left-handed starters, and picking him in Colorado feels like a no-brainer.
