Trade (and Rumors)

According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, Aaron Civale has told the Brewers that he would like to be traded. Civale was moved to the bullpen this week which he clearly does not want to do. The Brewers are not likely to give into his demand as he is depth for an already thin rotation, but they are likely to get calls about him.

Quick Hits

Kodai Senga left Thursday’s game with a hamstring injury.

Senga is expected to go on the IL, so he will miss at least two weeks with the injury, but expect him to undergo an MRI soon.

The Angels are calling up top prospect Christian Moore on Friday. Moore has crushed AAA, hitting .350/.424/.575 with four home runs and three stolen bases in 92 plate appearances. He has power and speed, but struggles to make consistent contact. He should play everyday, but will need to curb the strikeouts to make a fantasy impact.

Isaac Paredes left Thursday’s game with a hamstring injury.

There was no update on his status after the game. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Various News and Notes
Evan Carter went 2-for-4 with a home run and stolen base in the victory over the Twins on Monday.

Carter has been fantastic since his recall, hitting .440 with three home runs and two stolen bases in eight games. Carter is still just on the strong side of a platoon, but he is looking like the top prospect many thought he would be. If he can learn to hit lefties, he could be a stud.

Jacob Misoiorowski threw five hitless innings versus the Cardinals, allowing four walks and striking out five in the victory on Thursday.

Misiorowski was fantastic before leaving with an ankle injury. He stated after the game that he was fine. The command and control will be the only thing that holds him back because the stuff is unreal. He may have one of the best fastballs in base along with a great cutter and curve. The upside is immense for the rookie and he will be the top pick up in FAAB this week.

Streaming Pitchers (Under 50% in CBS)
Pitcher for Today: Bryce Elder vs COL
The Rockies are the worst team in baseball and play their worst when they leave for a road trip.

Other Options: Chris Paddack at HOU, Edward Cabrera at WAS, Mitchell Parker vs MIA, Stephen Kolek at ARI, Charlie Morton vs LAA, Adrian Houser at TEX, Ryne Nelson vs SD, Keider Montero vs CIN.

For those of you that would like to see how these picks play out, I have a doc I put together to track the stats from my recommended pitchers. It does not include the “Other Options.”

Interesting fact: Civale has never come out of the pen, not even in the minors. He has started every single game he has appeared in as a professional
