Trade Rumors!
According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the Red Sox are showing interest in Ken Giles and Kirby Yates. The back end of the Red Sox bullpen has been a disaster this season, but it originally appeared as if the Red Sox were going to use Nathan Eovaldi as their closer. It now appears they will look outside the organization to fill that role. Savvy fantasy may want to grab the set up men in Toronto and San Diego in case Boston nabs their closers.

Jon Morosi also reported that both Eric Sogard and Danny Santana are drawing interest on the trade market. Both have the ability to play multiple positions, but it seems Sogard would be more likely to move in a deadline deal considering he would be cheaper and Toronto is clearly not competing.

Various News and Notes
Kevin Gausman threw seven innings, allowing one run on five hits while striking out eight. The most impressive part of Gausman’s night was the fact he didn’t walk a single batter. Gausman has a long history of sucking people back in with a strong second half, so this might be a good time to buy back in if he is available in your league.

Luis Urias was recalled from the minor leagues over the weekend. Urias has crushed it in the minors this season, hitting .315/.398/.600 with 19 home runs and seven stolen bases. He should get regular playing time for the Padres who have called up a ton of their prospects this season (13 of the top 30 on Eric Longenhagen’s list) and are looking to get their young players seasoning at the Major League level.

Anthony Desclafani threw six innings of one-run ball, striking out 11 versus the Cardinals. Desclafani has been up and down this season, but has thrown 23.1 innings with a 2.28 ERA and striking out 28 in his last three starts. He has an increased swinging strike rate this year and is benefiting off of the combination of an improved slider/fastball combination. He can struggle with home runs and walks, but he has only given up five home runs and nine walks since the beginning of June in 44 innings.

Quick Hits
Ryan Zimmerman left Sunday’s game with a foot injury. This is the same foot that led to an IL stint earlier in the season. He will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury, but this sounds like there may be another IL stint on the horizon.

Max Scherzer is expected to return from the IL to the Nationals rotation on Thursday.

Brandon Woodruff is expected to miss 2-6 weeks after suffering an oblique injury during his start on Sunday.

Zach Wheeler is expected to be activated from the IL and return to the Mets rotation next weekend.

Trevor Williams will start on Monday after having his pushed back due to an illness.

Shawn Kelley suffered an arm injury while warming up on Sunday. Kelley is expected to an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Streaming Pitching Options (Less than 50% owned)
Pitcher for Today: None
Not a lot of great options in the lower owned tiers for Monday.

High Risk Options: Trevor Richards at CHW, Ryan Borucki vs CLE

Pitcher for Tomorrow: None

High Risk Options: Aaron Sanchez vs CLE
I don’t even really like Aaron Sanchez here in this slate, but I had to put someone, I guess.
