Ottoneu Power Rankings: June 2017
We have now reached the halfway point in the ottoneu season, and at this point if your team isn’t squarely in the top four or five in your league you are in some trouble. To me the end of June is a watershed moment where teams are no longer just benefiting from a hot start or suffering from under performance, but rather the standings represent the realistic groupings of contenders, also-rans, and bottom dwellers.

The first ranking I’m going to present shows the top individual teams in all FanGraphs points leagues based on their Pace, which is a metric I calculate by taking each team’s current Pts/G and Pts/IP and multiplying them by their projected games (max of 1,944) and innings (max of 1,500). Also, please note that any teams/leagues from leagues with less than twelve teams are excluded from these rankings.

Note- there are 1,596 FGpts teams across 133 leagues.
Offensive scoring continues to outpace 2016 levels (driven in large part by the HR boom), as FGPts teams average 5.34 Pts/G (up from 5.30 Pts/G in June ’16), but just 4.70 Pts/IP (down from 4.96 Pts/IP in June ’16). Overall scoring is still down, as just a single team projects over 20,500 points and only ten are pacing over 20,000 points.
There is a new #1 team in the rankings, as Gimme All Yasmani rises from #4, and the former #1 Mookie Betts and the TINSTAAP GANG drops to #9. All told five teams in the top ten are repeats from last month.

Three Tool Front Office slips from first to second as A Small Sample leaps all the way from tenth to first. Last year’s #1 league Brinksmanship rises five spots in the rankings from last month in their bid to defend their title.
Due to the holiday week I wasn’t able to run the rankings for the other three ottoneu formats, but I will add them to this post soon.
