12:00
Griffin Ball and Jax: Griffin Jax got rage-dropped in my 12-team roto league and me need saves bad (my lone closer is Cole Sands). Would you cut Mick Abel for him?

12:00
Justin Mason: I would do that if I needed the saves.

12:00
Streamers Ahoy: Rank these streamer options for the week for a 10T 5×5 roto league? Scherzer vs COL, Eflin vs TEX, Bassitt vs TEX, Wacha vs MIL, Keller vs BAL, Williamson vs PIT, Patrick @ KC. Thanks!

12:01
Justin Mason: Scherzer, Eflin, Patrick, Wacha, Williamson, Bassitt

12:01
Kyle: Any faith that we are seeing the Jordan Romano of 2022-2023 or is this just a small sample size aberration?

12:01
Justin Mason: Very little, but he seems to have the job for now, so I would roll with it until the wheels fall off.

12:01
Vaughn But Not Forgotten: How would you rank these 1B options to replace Andrew Vaughn in an OBP league while he’s out? Miguel Vargas, Colt Keith, Schanuel, Burger

12:02
Justin Mason: Schanuel, Keith, Burger, Vargas

12:02
Hicks and Stones: In a 2 catcher best ball league and looking to upgrade on Joey Bart at C2 — would you go with Liam Hicks or Nick Fortes?

12:02
Justin Mason: Fortes

12:02
Tony Vitello: Justin are you mad at me?

12:03
Justin Mason: Not yet, but you’re on notice

12:03
Justin Mason: Point awarded

12:03
JP: While trying to price enforce in my NL auction, I ended up with Megill along with Duran and Santana. Which one should I trade? I’m thinking Duran since he is the most valuable.

12:03
Justin Mason: I would probably trade Megill depending on the return. I just don’t trust the health long term.

12:04
Meet the mets: Hi Justin.  Would you rather roster J Polanco or Baty in a 12 team roto?  Is Baty going to continue to play full time?  Thanks

12:05
Justin Mason: I would. I believe in what we saw with Baty last season and I think the upside is very high. Wednesday will be key for his playing time as it’s the first time the Mets are playing a lefty this season.

12:05
Abel?: Hi Justin.  Does Abel’s relief appearance and struggles in that appearance scare you at all?

12:05
Justin Mason: No, I am not worried yet

12:05
Christina: im in a 14t H2H dynasty with Carp, Frelick, DeLauter, Friedl and Stowers (on IL) in OF. I could probably drop a spare Holds guy to pick up Walker, Lowe, Carter, or stash Crews. Am I right to hold off with the group I have or cave to FOMO? If the latter, who’s the target?

12:06
Justin Mason: I would hold the guys I have right now.

12:06
Jordan Walker: Are you going to take the plunge with me?

12:06
Justin Mason: Probably not.

12:06
Royce Cooker: Trying to figure out the CI shuffle in a 5×5 OBP roto league, who’s your preference out of Royce Lewis, Miguel Vargas, Marcelo Mayer and Colt Keith?

12:06
Justin Mason: Lewis

12:06
Dumpster Diving: Can you please rank Mlodzinski, K Harrison, R Vásquez, R Wrathers and Z Eflin? Are you intrigued by any of these names in a 14 team mixed? Thank you!!

12:07
Justin Mason: Weathers, Eflin, Harrison, Mlodzinski, Vasquez

12:07
Don’t Have a Cowser: Which OF to keep in an OBP league, Grisham or Cowser?

12:07
Justin Mason: Grisham

12:07
Billy: Zach Eflin seems  like he should be picked up in 12 team mixed — agree?

12:07
Justin Mason: Completely agree

12:07
Willie: In 10 team mixed with daily moves, would you rotate through left-handed power bats – Barger, Carpenter, Abreu, Baty, Muncy, Wallner – based on park/pitcher matchups, or are there 1 or 2 on that list worth holding?  In the early going, kinda got to make decisions quick, like whether to pick up Abreu for awhile (necessitates dropping Barger or Carpenter).  Baty might be worth a little extra to me for 2B eligibility.

12:09
Justin Mason: I would mostly go by pitcher matchups and then factor in park when there are extreme park factors like Cincy, Colorado, Sac. . Baty for me is the top of this list.

12:09
Mika I: It’s only been a couple of days, so why not overreact?  It sure seems like Murakami has the plate discipline and power to be a ROY contender and impact player.  Thoughts?

12:09
Justin Mason: It’s too early, but I have been impressed.

12:09
Mike: How confident are you that Wheeler or Hunter Greene will be productive this year in H2H format where playoff roster matters more than the regular season?

12:09
Justin Mason: Not super confident at all

12:10
Mike: Is it Lucy pulling away the football again to have drafted Matt McLain and Royce Lewis?

12:10
Justin Mason: I fell for Lewis again and probably will continue to

12:10
Justin Mason: Point awarded.

12:10
Waylon: Erceg or Sewald or a high value/leverage MR who gets shots at W’s?

12:10
Justin Mason: Erceg for me.

12:10
MI Palooza: How would you rank Cole Young, Carson Williams, Nolan Gorman, and Masyn Winn?

12:10
Justin Mason: Young, Winn, Gorman, Williams

12:10
Mike: 12-team, 5-OF H2H league, how confident are you in guys like Cassie, Scott, and Benge for two spots.  Are waiver players like L. Raley, Garrett Mitchell, and Cam Smith an upgrade from any?

12:11
Justin Mason: I feel pretty good about those three especially in a league size where those options are available.

12:11
Cecilio Guante: 12 Team roto mixer 5×5- Imai @ A’s or Lauer @Chisox? Thank You Sir.

12:11
Justin Mason: Lauer

12:11
JP: Need a replacement C, possibly for the whole season (drafted Joe Mack in a keeper). Pages, Davis, Sanchez, campusano, Amaya, heim, trevino, torrens available

12:12
Justin Mason: Amaya

12:12
James: I added Emerson Hancock and Randy Vazquez last night by significantly outbidding my league mates. I dumped nobody significant but am feeling maybe I jumped the gun, What is your take on these two pitchers?

12:14
Justin Mason: I am not huge fan of Vasquez to be honest. Vasquez did add velo spring but the stuff isn’t impressive. Hancock is interesting. The addition of a sweeper this offseason gives him a more well rounded repertoire that can work in Seattle.

12:14
South Sider: In Cole Ragans first start, his velo was down and he gave up two homers to lefties. How worried should I be?

12:14
Justin Mason: A little but not enough to do anything yet.

12:14
Tim: Who would you rather have as a dynasty backup for Betts? I already have Williams, but available are Winn, Lee, Nunez, Ortiz. The optimal situation is that they could potentially bridge the gap to Josuar Gonzalez someday.

12:15
Justin Mason: Nunez for me.

12:15
Conor: Ryne Nelson vs. ATL or Liberatore vs. NYM?

12:15
Justin Mason: Nelson

12:15
RAGBRAI: Des Baty get 500 AB this season? What numbers does he put up?

12:15
Justin Mason: I think would put it around 450

12:16
Fred: Speculating for saves in a 12-team AL only league.  How would you rank Justin Topa, Cole Winn and Matt Strahm?  Are any of them worth adding?

12:16
Justin Mason: Topa, Strahm, Winn

12:17
Jason: 14 – team, OBP roto.  Got Wood for $10, $15, $20 next three years.  Would you trade him for Goodman (same salary structure) straight up?  Wood’s K-rate scares the bejesus out of me.

12:17
Justin Mason: I would not

12:17
Guest: Can Adley Rutschman return to his 2022-2023 numbers?

12:17
Justin Mason: I believe he can. He just needs to stay healthy.

12:17
Ryan: In a 10 team head to head. What do you think about dropping Doyle for Benge? Or Doyle for Cam Smith?

12:18
Justin Mason: no

12:18
Datt Mamon: Any under the radar RPs you think might be in line to get saves? My team is pretty bereft at the moment (Martin, Romero, Keller, Maton)

12:18
Justin Mason: Erceg, Bryan King, Gregory Soto

12:19
Jordan: Jordan Walker breakout season?

12:19
Justin Mason: Probably not

12:19
Guest: Keeper league. Walker Jenkins for Adley Rutschman. Who says no?

12:19
Justin Mason: seems fair

12:19
Vince: Hi! 12-tm, H2H, category … want to drop a bat to create bench slot for streaming or adding an SP. All were auction targets, but would you drop any of Matt McLean, Jorge Polanco, Jacob Marcee, Luke Keashall. If so, please rank! Thanks !

12:20
Justin Mason: If I dropped any it would probably be polanco, but I don’t know that I would.

12:20
ashtray: Small sample size and all but the early peripherals on Jordan Walker and Spencer steer look really good. Anything there or just a blip of a 10 PA sample?

12:20
Justin Mason: Way too small of a sample

12:21
Jane: Hi Justin! Drop Ober for the treacherous two-step of Griffin or Buehler? Hold Estevez or drop for Stanek, Baker, or King in saves only? Fantasy makes me insane. Thank you!

12:22
Justin Mason: I would be fine dropping Ober, but I don’t want either of those two steps. I would drop Estevez for for Erceg or Baker

12:22
Steve: In a 5×5 QS league, would you drop either Cantillo or Messick for Hancock, Abel (recently dropped), Taj or Mlodzinski?

12:22
Justin Mason: No I wouldnt

12:22
Guest: I like to think of myself as a savvy roto-er, but why do I continually get sucked into the Dustin May experience?

12:23
Justin Mason: Because the stuff is so GIFable, but its a mirage.

12:23
Matt: I have Fairbanks and Sir Anthony….I just raised Erceg to $ on the FA bidding, should I raise Sands too? I’m afraid of the landed gentry

12:23
Justin Mason: I think I would just go for Erceg. Minnesota feels like a committee on a bad team

12:23
Carlos Estevez: Do you think that I will still have a job at the end of the year.

12:23
Justin Mason: I dont think you have it right now

12:23
Bata: With JJ wetherholt seeming like the real deal, is there a better team in MLB at developing young players?  Raniel Rodriguez might be knocking ont eh door soon as well

12:24
Justin Mason: I dont think they are the best team in developing, but they have had an embarrassment of riches recently.

12:24
Ken: Hi Justin. Thanks for the chat.  Erceg or Jax in saves only? Any difference in value short vs. long term?

12:24
Justin Mason: Jax for me short and long term

12:24
Justin Mason: its close though

12:24
Guest: Hi,

12:25
Justin Mason: HI!

12:25
RAGBRAI: Would you drop Sanchez or Pozo for Quero in a two catcher NL only 5×5? I’m worried he gets sent back down when Vaughn returns, if not sooner.

12:25
Justin Mason: I don’t think he gets much time this year.

12:25
Siri: Hancock only had 7% swstr. You think he’s gonna have value? Rank him, Abel, cecconi, liberatore and mlodzonski

12:27
Justin Mason: I would still have him behind most of this group. Is he more viable than before? Yes. Do I think he turns into a stud? No. Abel especially has a ton more upside and I think Liberatore and Mlodzonski do too.

12:27
Jane: W. Castro, Steer, or B. Lee?

12:27
Justin Mason: Castro

12:28
Guest: Do you agree with the low k/9 projections for Andrew Painter?  Low 7’s to Low 8’s?

12:28
Justin Mason: I think he will be a strikeout per inning guy

12:28
Morgan: Maybe a Jeff question, but, when Konnor gets called up, what percent of your FAAB do you bid?

12:28
Justin Mason: 30%

12:28
Steve: Odds that Ben Joyce takes the Angels closer role by the All Star break?

12:28
Justin Mason: 5%?

12:28
Mike: Who do you want in the Rays pen, Jax, Baker, or Uceta?  Does your answer change if Ks/9 is more important than saves (SOLD league)?

12:28
Justin Mason: Jax

12:29
Chasing SS: I didn’t get a big time SS in 12 Team Ottineau and had to trade Neto for OF Depth.  Should I be worried with Young Muncy, Jacob Wilson윌슨, Brooks Lee, and Chase Medroth?

12:29
Justin Mason: I would be worried with this group

12:29
Nate: If you were in a deep keeper league that has Witt, Gunnar and Konnor at SS…think swapping Gunnar with Tatis is a bad move (if the other obvious top 4-5 OFs are unavailable?

12:29
Justin Mason: I think that is a smart move

12:29
South Sider: Brutal two-step for Parker Messick this week: Dodgers/Cubs. Are you riding with him for either of those?

12:29
Justin Mason: He is on my bench this week

12:29
Manning to Manningham: time capsule play … who do you have at 1st base ? Will Clark or Don Mattingly

12:29
Justin Mason: Mattingly

12:29
Abel?: If you had to pick an umpire to fly a plane that you were a passenger on.  Would you choose Angel Hernandez or CB Buckner?

12:30
Justin Mason: I dont want to die!

12:30
Justin Mason: Point awarded

12:30
No Kings: So how many of today’s questions will start … Are you worried / concerned about …insert player’s name_______ ?

12:30
Justin Mason: 60%

12:30
Mike: Painter and Leiter.  Either a ROS player or spot starter?

12:30
Justin Mason: I think both are ROS

12:30
Matt: Was Mike Burrows overrated? Seemed like his start Friday was kind of a letdown after all the sleeper hype

12:31
Justin Mason: I was saying he was overrated all draft season

12:31
Rob: Is there any life still in Adolis Garcia? Or is he cooked now?

12:31
Justin Mason: There is still life

12:31
Last arm: Hi!  Could you rank these arms: Rocker, Cantillo, Kay?

12:31
Justin Mason: Cantillo, Rocker, Kay

12:31
Tony Vitello: Puff the Magic Dragon

12:31
Tony Vitello: There is only one riverthere is only one sea And it flows through you, and it flows through me

12:31
Tony Vitello: Did everyone get a Capri Sun?

12:31
Justin Mason: I think a drug test is in order

12:31
Justin Mason: point awarded

12:31
Jon: Better ROS bet: Messick or Sproat?

12:32
Justin Mason: Messick

12:32
Matt W.: I think I am need some anti- acids tonight. In my dynasty league I have Nick Martinez, Taijuan Walker and Ryan Johnson going tonight. Here is too crushing your ERA in the first week.

12:32
Justin Mason: I hope you are rebuilding

12:32
Guest: You think Ryan Walker is a dependable closer this year or would you rather hold Robert Suarez in case he replaces Iggy at any point? (H2Hp scoring)

12:32
Justin Mason: I think Walker should be pretty dependable. Reworked his mechanics in the offseason and looked good in spring

12:32
Guest: Do you think Cole Sands is the Closer for MIN or does Taylor Rogers work in? If so, what’s the % for each on saves

12:33
Justin Mason: I think it is likely 40-40-20 for someone else

12:33
RAGBRAI: Mlodznski look pretty good in his first start. Does he offer consistency in his starts? 3.75 ERA seem plausible, with lots of Ks?

12:33
Justin Mason: I think he is probably more of a low 4s guy with a lot of strikeouts.

12:33
Justin Mason: Definitely has upside though

12:33
Tim: I rage quit on Javier for Mlod, may have been rash but I talked myself into it. Was there anything you saw in May, and Detmers or can they go too? I was gonna try to hold out until at least Yesavage comes back.

12:34
Justin Mason: May and Detmers can definitely go

12:34
Marty: OPS League. How do you feel about Teoscar vs Murekami right now?

12:34
Justin Mason: I still have Teoscar above him. I want to see what happens to Murekami after pitchers adjust to him.

12:34
Cash: In a 12-team mixed espn league, with daily moves but a certain DH/SP can only be played at one or the other on any given day, where should you play him – P, DH, or choose based on pitching matchups?  Caveat that he’s also my best pitcher (probably).

12:34
Justin Mason: Hitter mostly

12:35
Dips: Is Hancock’s velocity dip a product of a) not being built up yet or b) something to be worried about for other reasons (mechanical, injury etc). In the case of Sheehan, it seems like all sides are attributing to a mechanical issue but I just wonder if this is an early baseball season thing that is more common, but with more data we’re all paying more attention these days.

12:35
Justin Mason: It’s something I am monitoring, but I want to see what the velo is at next start before I look to panic

12:35
Taco Grande: Are you panicking at all over the elite reliever implosions over the weekend? Abreu, Estrada, Jax, Duran, Dominguez all struggled (that I saw). I remember a year ago bailing on Jax after a three early implosions in a SHOLDS league and totally regretted it. Anyone on that list you’re ready. To move on from?

12:36
Justin Mason: IT IS TOO EARLY TO PANIC ON ANYONE UNLESS THERE IS A MASSIVE SKILLS CHANGE!

12:36
Pecorino Romano: Can I get odds on Romano as main halos closer ros? I know he’s mediocre, but so are pom and yates, and Joyce, when back, is someone they’ve held out of saves before…

12:36
Justin Mason: 20%

12:36
Roman, oh: I have Romano in al only obp and thinking about a trade. My weak spots are Austin Hays and Brice Matthews. Should I move Romano for someone like Denzel Clarke or Bryan Rocchio or just hold?

12:36
Justin Mason: hold

12:36
Guest: is wheeler just going to be 5 months of wheeler-level wheeler after all

12:37
Justin Mason: I hope so, but there is not much of a sample size on this type of TOS so its really hard to know for sure. I would bet against it if I had to bet.

12:37
Glizzy: What are your expectations for Bryce Miller this szn? Worthwhile IL stash?

12:37
Justin Mason: I am stashing him in one league. Looked better in spring before the injury.

12:37
Rick: Would you drop May for Bradley? 14T, QS, K/9

12:37
Justin Mason: yes

12:37
Insert Witty Name Here: I’m hoarding closers.  If a better one comes along, who gets the drop from Mason Miller (ha!), Hogan Harris, Taylor Rogers, or Sands?

12:37
Justin Mason: Harris

12:37
South Sider: We can’t afford nice things in the third largest city in America (see: Crochet, Cease), so do you think the Sox should just trade Murakami today or wait until next year?

12:39
Justin Mason: Probably next year if things are working out or they could extend him.

12:39
Another Mlod question: Zimmerman seems very high on Mlodzinski.  Would you drop Patrick, Warren or Ascraft for him?

12:39
Justin Mason: I would drop Warren

12:39
Galen: 11 team NL only. Anyone from these guys stand out as possibly providing value later in the year? Sanoja, Jerar Encarnacion, Jorge Barrosa, Jose Tena, Nelson Velasquez

12:39
Justin Mason: Not really

12:40
Pete: How concerned are you with James Wood? a 50% K rate is no bueno.  Thanks!

12:40
Justin Mason: Not at all

12:40
Luke: In a deep keeper league with OPS and NSB so on the lookout for young players and need a 3B. Do you see any value to Brady House or should I just roll with Chase Meidroth. This aren’t my main players just monitoring them.

12:40
Justin Mason: I would roll with Meidroth

12:40
Luke: 12 team mixed keeper league with OPS and NSV. Have JoRam expiring and need to trade so looking for 3B upside bats. Do you any value to House or Meidroth? House has playing time and looks pretty solid so far.

12:41
Justin Mason: I dont think either has a ton of value moving forward so I would be looking for an imapct 3B back if I moved J-Ram

12:41
JT: 14 tm h2h 6×6 where pitching categories are: ERA, WHIP, QS, W, K & SV/HOLDS; who is a better risk this risk on 2 start SP stream, J. Lopez or J. Leiter … I need K’s and have lead in WHIP and ERA so far, I hope you tell me that I made the right choice

12:41
Justin Mason: Leiter

12:41
Joe Shlabotnik: 14 team mixed 9X9 Saves and HLDS league (separate categories). I’m mostly punting Saves but hoping to pick up enough to grab a few points (a few other teams punt SVs to varying degrees). I feel pretty good about my RP but would you drop any of these to pick up Erceg?

Suarez
King
Meier
Vesia

Thanks!

12:42
Justin Mason: I would drop Vesia

12:42
Punk in drublic: NL Edgardo henriquez, last 2 forcholdsonly. How would you rank as a waiver pickup De Los Santos, Curtis Mead, Blake treinen, and

12:43
Justin Mason: Treinen, De Los Santos, Mead

12:43
Bill Warts: 11 team mixed, please rank trash heap closers. Romano, Sewald, Sands, Erceg. Thanks!

12:43
Justin Mason: Romano, Erceg, Sewald, Sands

12:43
Bubba: Confident in me @ CIN tomorrow / ROS?

12:43
Justin Mason: I am

12:43
No Kings: Very tough schedule for Messick  LAD, Cubs , Braves.

12:44
Justin Mason: I am holding him on my bench right now, but in a shallow league you can cut if you need the roster spot.

12:44
O’Neil Cruz: Am I going to get platooned?  Have you dinged my projections already?

12:44
Justin Mason: I had him platooning before the season so I am sticking with my projections but I was lower on him than most

12:44
Kurtz My Feelings: Should probably drop him right? It’s been a whole 11 abs or whatever. Happy baseball!

12:44
Justin Mason: Point awarded

12:45
Mike: Jacob Wilson is the only SS on my roster in a 12-team H2H league.  Level of concern?  Options on wire only involve speed (Hamilton, Nunez, etc.)?

12:45
Justin Mason: I am not dropping him right now, but I would grab Nunez if I could

12:45
JT: Hi, Rank the following SP to stream this week in a 6×6 h2h where categories are WHIP, ERA, W, K, QS & SV/HOLD: Efflin, J. Leiter, J. Lopez and A. Painter

12:45
Justin Mason: Eflin, Leiter, Painter, Lopez

12:45
Pop: Help!!!! My hitters can’t hit and my pitchers can’t pitch…I am in last place…..Is Bijan Robinson worth the #1 pick in NFL?????   🙂

12:45
Justin Mason: Point awarded

12:45
BP: Trout is leading in WAR so stats have stabilized, right?

12:46
Justin Mason: Point awarded

12:46
Ken: Is Beeter worth a waiver wire claim? How do you think Luis Gil will do this year?

12:46
Justin Mason: I think he is in deeper leagues. He will at least factor into the ninth, but it may be a committee. I like Gil but he is clearly on a short leash.

12:46
Rich: Better prospect to stash for this season – Eldridge or Emerson?  Thx!

12:46
Justin Mason: Eldridge.

12:46
CaptainAwesome: Draft Champs; 15 team; Need a P for this week:
Vodnik (will he get another shot?)
Dustin May @ Det
Roki 2 step?  home CLE/@WAS

Current RPs – Walker/Iglesias/Erceg
Current SPs – Alcantara/Rogers/Cameron/Bello/Nelson

12:47
Justin Mason: Vodnik I guess.

12:47
CaptainAwesome: Finally got a membership .. is there a Fangraphs/Rotographs discord?

12:47
Justin Mason: I dont think there is. There’s a sleeper and the bust one, but I can ask because we should have a fangraphs one imo

12:47
Stefano: Hi Justin! I’m in a 12-man OPS 5×5 and need some depth for potential OF/Util spots. Laureano and Grisham are available, are they worth it over Caissie/Benge/Bauers?

12:48
Justin Mason: Over Bauers, yes

12:48
Guest: im in a 6keeper keep forever league 12 team. QS/IP/k9/ERA/WHIP/svhlds and R/RBI/HR/OBP/SLG/SB are the h2hcats. I was offered Chisolm/Lindor/Wheeler for my Nick Kurtz.. I accepted, did i make the right move? seemed to good to be true. Thanks Justin!

12:48
Justin Mason: yeah, you made the right call. The difference between Lindor and Kurtz is not both Chisholm and Wheelr.

12:49
Nick: How would you rank Cabrera, Weathers, Meyer, & Liberatore in 12 team mixed with QS instead of W? Worth holding any of them or are they more in the streamer category?

12:49
Justin Mason: Meyer, Cabrera, Weathers, Liberatore

12:49
Swiss: Speculate on Topa or Baker or alternatively hope Ian Seymour turns in a useful SP-ish season? I have Romano, Erceg, Strahm, Joyce, Taylor (TOR), Brash already plus Smith and Hader.

12:49
Justin Mason: Spec on Baker if you need saves. If not, then go for Seymour

12:50
J.: 24 team dynasty league, h2h matchups with lots of scoring categories, I have a surplus of infielders and want to drop one to add a RP. Royce Lewis, Brady House, Ramon Urias, Angel Martinez. Thanks!

12:50
Justin Mason: drop Urias

12:50
The Ghost of Wade Boggs: 12 team, H2H points league: Which side of a deal do you prefer – Tyler Soderstrom and Sonny Gray or Willy Adames and Trevor Rogers?

12:50
Justin Mason: Soderstrom side

12:50
No Kings: Starting Gavin Williams at LAD ?

12:51
Justin Mason: depends on my other options

12:51
Churning: Shallow Yahoo default 10-team 5×5 with daily moves, max games per position/max innings;
Rank the following: Tanner Bibee, Shane Baz, Parker Messick, Chad Patrick, Matthew Boyd, Emerson Hancock
Thinking of dropping Bibee for one of the others since replacement value is so high –> makes sense to chase upside

12:51
Justin Mason: Boyd, Patrick, Bibee, Baz, Messick

12:51
Insert Witty Name Here: Read the article on Verlander drinking too much coffee, I thought I read you did too.  How much is too much?

12:52
Justin Mason: I actually don’t drink coffee at all. Like I might have a cup or two a year

12:52
Airy Bear Toe: What kind of a name is Griffin Conine?

12:52
Justin Mason: It translates to “Son of the Jeff”

12:52
Justin Mason: point awarded

12:52
Churning: Is Hancock just not worth considering at all then or did you just forget to include him on the list

12:53
Justin Mason: I did forget him, but I would also have  him last.

12:53
Justin Mason: Need questions!

12:53
Tim: Follow up to my SP drop question in the 14t league; would you rank these options?: Wacha, Reynaldo, Springs, Seymour, Boyle, none of the above?

12:53
Justin Mason: Drop Springs

12:55
Jim: Baker, Stanek or King for save spec?

12:55
Justin Mason: Stanek

12:55
Mark Vientos: How many HRs do I hit this season? How many HRs in my career?

12:55
Justin Mason: 15 this year. 125 in his career

12:55
Shane Smith: Do I still have a lot of upside and should be given Skenes levels of forgiveness? Or is this the sign of a sophomore slump?

12:56
Justin Mason: I am pretty worried about him. Velo issues in spring and bad first start.

12:56
Joey: Last OF in al obp league: Loperfido, Hays, kayfus, javy baez?

12:56
Justin Mason: Loperfido

12:56
Mike: Confidence in a rebound from Albies?  20/20 possible/likely?

12:56
Justin Mason: feels within the range of outcomes, but I am not betting on it.

12:56
Peter: Favorite pickup of Nasim Nunez, David Hamilton, Cole Young? Would you drop Tovar for any of them?

12:57
Justin Mason: Nunez and I would be ok dropping Tovar for him in a shallow league

12:57
Wood: Is there something to all the best baseball players having baseball names? Aaron Judge? Baseball name. Ronald Acuna? Baseball name. Tarik Skubal? Baseball name. You know who doesn’t have a baseball name? Kyle Harrison. This is how I know Connelly Early and Konnor Griffin are the next great ball players.

12:57
Justin Mason: Point awarded

12:57
Doyle rules?: How long do we hold on someone like Doyle till we go for younger upside guys?

12:57
Justin Mason: give it at least a few weeks.

12:58
Ibtihaj: Hi, getting back in fantasy baseball again for the first time since 2017. In a deep 12 team points league with 26 roster spots with a weekly lineup lock. How do you decide who to start?

12:58
Justin Mason: Look at matchups for the most part. Certain guys will always start, but the questionable ones, I tend to play the matchups

12:58
Pete: No question.  You are a beast for taking all these questions and rolling through them.  Much appreciated!

12:58
Justin Mason: Thank you!

12:59
Beeglove: 16 team keeper league, keep 20 players. Took over abandoned team, it’s been last 5 of the 8 years of the league and 15th 2 others.. Yahoo (Ohtani is 2 players). Sent Ohtani(pitcher only), Crow Armstrong, and Kenley Jansen. Got Z Neto, A Barger, and Justin Crawford. How’d I do?

12:59
Justin Mason: I think you did pretty good. Love all three of those guys

12:59
Insert Witty Name Here: No coffee? Then how do you get through all your questions so fast? Who’s my reserve OF, Adell, Soderstrom,Marsee in an OBP?

12:59
Justin Mason: I am powered by hate and diet pepsi

12:59
Hank Scorpio: Hey Justin, appreciate the chat. I panic dropped Seranthony in favor of Jordan Romano. Was that hasty? Closers are tough to come by in my league and just feel a bad closer on a bad team isn’t going to cut it.

1:00
Justin Mason: Maybe a little, but its fine

1:00
Guest: Does zebby have any value in std redraft this year?

1:00
Justin Mason: I think he will at some point, but will need to wait for an injury or demotion.
