Eno Sarris – Roto Questions Answered Friday
Hey guys! Gotta pop in and out today, but wanted to be around in a time of need. Throw a question at me, preferably one that’s about chat-sized, and I’ll try to answer it some time today.
Happy Friday!
With a phone full of pictures of pitchers' fingers, strange beers, and his two toddler sons, Eno Sarris can be found at the ballpark or a brewery most days. Read him here, writing about the A's or Giants at The Athletic, or about beer at October. Follow him on Twitter @enosarris if you can handle the sandwiches and inanity.
7×7 H2H league (R, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, OBP, SLG and K, W, SV, HD, ERA, OBA, K/BB) Which 8 keepers?
Votto, Pedroia, Hanley, CarGo, Crawford, Choo, Posey, Cliff Lee, Weaver, Shields, Daniel Hudson
Votto, Pedroia, Hanley, CarGo, Crawford, Lee and Weaver are locks. Well, Crawford is not necessarily a lock, but I wouldn’t go 5/3 on batters/pitchers, so it probably won’t be Shields or Hudson for me anyway. That leaves Choo/Posey for the last spot, and Posey’s a strong keeper catcher even with the injury.
I suppose if you kept Shields over Posey that would be allright. I just prefer a bigger hitter/pitcher split.
Thanks. I tend to lean hitter-heavy myself, although my lumber is completely failing me here in the first playoff week, and that will undoubtedly lead to me complaining that the overall best regular season record (me) needs to get a bigger share of the cash pool.
It’s easier if you leave off the obvious ones and deduct one from your keepers.
I’d Lose
Choo
Posey – don’t invest much in C, they usually disappoint.
Crawford (he’s only good in 3 of those cats even when good)
Hudson – not a proven guy, youth not enough to make up for it.
Thanks Joe, but with your subtractions, there’s only 7 guys left, and I keep 8.
