Roto Riteup — Presented By DraftKings: May 4, 2014

Today being Star Wars Day gives me a weak pretense to give you some links to things I find fun. This time it is the cast returning to their previous roles. The films, toys and books set in the “Star Wars” universe all played a major part in my childhood. I’ll always have a soft spot for playing “X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter” on the computer and fond memories of playing with my Star Wars Micro Machines.

On today’s agenda:
1. Several outfielders to the disabled list
2. A new starter in Toronto?
3. Juan Lagares, starting center fielder
4. The Daily Five

Happy Lumpy Rug Day! According to some sources this really is a thing. According to other sources, sometimes a rug can really tie a room together (warning: language).

On today’s agenda:
1. Jason Kipnis to the disabled list
2. The Los Angeles Dodgers rotating rotation
3. Thoughts on Travis Wood
4. The Daily Five

The video game “Day of Defeat” was released 11 years and one day ago. At least that is when the commercial version of the game was officially released. I fondly remember playing DoD 3.1 Beta prior to the full release as a youngster. Back in the days before Steam, fellow nerds like myself had to use WON ID’s and deal that old ugly UI. Good times.

On today’s agenda:
1. Anthony Gose is back in the majors
2. Omar Infante’s quiet production
3. Yep, that Juan Uribe
4. The Daily Five

The present Roto Riteup author made an appearance on the River Ave Blues podcast, which you should listen to if you like to hear me say disparaging things about people who make way more money than me.

2. Mike Minor back Friday
3. Archie Bradley to the DL

With all due respect to Mr. Zach Sanders, the Tuesday Roto Riteup is better than Monday. It is also definitely the best RR day that begins with a T.

1. Bryce Harper to miss two months
2. Josh Reddick could be on the upswing
3. Another quality start from Tyler Skaggs
4. The Daily Five

Tomorrow is the 14th anniversary of New Found Glory’s From the Screen to Your Stero album. As the title would suggest, the album was covers of well known songs from films. My favorite track is probably “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough“, though “My Heart Will Go On” is pretty great too.

On today’s agenda:
1. Thoughts on Derek Norris‘ hot start
2. Chris Davis to the 15-day disabled list
3. The Daily Five

Today’s Roto Riteup was written on laundry day as well as immediately after I stubbed my toe on the corner of the dryer. Just as my childhood mentor Rocko said, laundry day is a very dangerous day.

On today’s agenda:
1. Miguel Montero: cleanup hitter?
2. James Loney’s value
3. A bounce back start for Corey Kluber
4. The Daily Five

Guess what day it is, Roto Riteup readers?! It’s two days after Earth Day, when I take an even bigger bag of paper and shove it into the garbage can to offset all the good everyone did because I don’t like change.

On today’s agenda:
1. Michael Pineda feels justice
2. Clayton Kershaw’s rehab scheduled
3. Fun with tons of arbitrary endpoints
4. The Fast Five
