Outlier Saves
•Scott Alexander, SFG | Roster Resource
With closer Camilo Doval and next-in-line John Brebbia, likely unavailable after back-to-back days it was Zack Littell who came into the eighth inning to maintain the lead. He gave up three hits, one walk and two runs, while only recording two outs. It was then Alexander who came in to get the last out of the eighth and then came out for the top of the ninth to close out the game. He gave up one hit and allowed his defense to record four outs. The 33-year-old lefty has spent most of his career with the Royals and Dodgers and has only thrown 8.2 innings with the Giants in 2022. It was his first save of the season. He is likely to stay in his role as a middle reliever the rest of the way this season.
