Notable Workloads
•Félix Bautista, BAL: 28 pitches on Saturday. | RosterResource
Yennier Cano threw 15 pitches on Saturday and could still be available on Sunday. Shintaro Fujinami should be available but probably hasn’t instilled enough confidence in his control to be utilized in save situations. Mike Baumann or Cionel Pérez could also be used in a close game if Bautista is unavailable.
•Carlos Hernández, KCR: 20 pitches on Saturday, back-to-back days. | RosterResource
Fellow closer committee members Austin Cox and Nick Wittgren should be available.
•Adbert Alzolay, CHC: 20 pitches on Saturday, back-to-back days. | RosterResource
Mark Leiter Jr. blew the save with 15 pitches on Saturday and could be given a chance at redemption on Sunday. If not, Julian Merryweather should also be available though he threw 19 pitches on Saturday.
•Devin Williams, CHC: 15 pitches on Saturday, back-to-back days. | RosterResource
Setup man Joel Payamps should be available on Sunday.

Committee Clarity
•JoJo Romero, STL | RosterResource
I wrote about Romero in this week’s Ottoneu Hot Right Now and at that time he was behind Andre Pallante in the closer hierarchy. Now, he has moved into a committee with Giovanny Gallegos. For fantasy purposes, Gallegos has been much more rosterable in leagues that record both holds (16) and saves (9). Romero now has two saves and three holds on the year. Having some kind of combination of both relievers may be wise. Romero will likely serve as the lefty option late in games moving forward. He’s been solid in his last 10 games, showcasing a 10.95 K/9 and very small 0.73 BB/9 while allowing no home runs. Yet, his ERA in that time is 5.11 as he’s allowed seven runs to cross the plate. In addition, Ryan Helsley is rehabbing his forearm in AA and could return to the closer role fairly quickly if all goes well:
Ryan Helsley will begin a rehab assignment on Sunday , I’m told with Springfield. #STLCards

Helsley did not look sharp in his latest minor league appearance where he gave up three hits, a home run, and two earned runs. It could take a little longer for him to get back into form.
