Notable Workloads
•Clay Holmes, NYY: 14 pitches on Saturday. | Roster Resource
Saturday’s outing gave Holmes his second save on the season and while he only needed 14 pitches, he did throw 16 on Wednesday. My guess would be that he is able to go again in a save situation on Sunday, but if not, Wandy Peralta is likely the next man up. Michael King is most likely in need of rest after throwing 32 pitches across two innings on Saturday night in Baltimore.
•Jhoan Duran, MIN: 3 pitches on Saturday, back-to-back days. | Roster Resource
After throwing 19 pitches on Friday, Duran only needed to get one out in the top of the ninth to secure his second save on the year. That’s because Jovani Moran brought the game a little too close for comfort in the first part of the inning. Duran came into the game with the tying run at the plate and struck him out. If Duran is unavailable to go a third day in a row, Griffin Jax may be the next man up as Jorge López is also on “High Usage Alert” after throwing back-to-back days. Emilio Pagán also has closing experience and could be an option.
•Paul Sewald, SEA: 19 pitches on Saturday, back-to-back days. | Roster Resource
Co-closer Andrés Muñoz should be available on Sunday against the Guardians.
•Kyle Finnegan, WSN: 18 pitches on Saturday, back-to-back days. | Roster Resource
Finnegan had a rough outing on Tuesday and fantasy managers should note that he appeared in the eighth inning on Saturday while Carl Edwards Jr. came into the ninth for the save opportunity. Finnegan is listed as “Not Very Stable” by our designation. Going into Sunday’s game all of Finnegan, Edwards Jr., and Hunter Harvey are listed on “High Usage Alert”. Harvey is the least taxed as far as pitch count goes, but it’s possible we see a middle-reliever late in the game. Erasmo Ramírez, Mason Thompson, and Anthony Banda should all be available.
•Alexis Díaz, CIN: 32 pitches on Saturday. | Roster Resource
Díaz was excellent in his first two appearances of the season giving up no walks or hits, recording three strikeouts, and facing only six batters in total. Saturday night was looking like more of the same when he recorded three consecutive strikeouts in the eighth inning, two of them on swinging strikes. But, when he came back out for the ninth, he gave up a walk, two singles, and a run and was taken out of the game. Ian Gibaut fared no better and was tagged with a blown save as the Phillies walked it off. Look to see Derek Law or Reiver Sanmartin if Díaz needs rest on Sunday.
•Josh Hader, SDP: 29 pitches on Saturday, back-to-back days. | Roster Resource
Luis García (16 pitches Saturday, back-to-back days) and Steven Wilson (22 pitches Saturday) both are on “High Usage Alert” and will likely be unavailable on Sunday. That leaves “Reliever on the Rise” Brent Honeywell Jr. and Tim Hill as likely options late in the game.
•Camilo Doval, SFG: 14 pitches on Saturday, back-to-back days. | Roster Resource
Taylor Rogers, Tyler Rogers, and John Brebbia should all be available on Sunday should Doval need rest.

Outlier Saves
•Aroldis Chapman, KCR | Roster Resource
It seems really strange to place Chapman in the “Outlier Saves” section and it probably doesn’t belong here. But, I do wonder if many fantasy managers had him written off as a saves candidate going into the season. So far, he is listed as the setup man in Kansas City but has been marked with the “Reliever on the Rise” tag in our Closer Depth Chart. Chapman has recorded one walk, one hit and eight strikeouts in four innings pitched so far this year. While Scott Barlow is still the closer for the Royals, fantasy managers might want to consider adding Chapman, especially in leagues that record holds.
Committee Clarity

Losing a Grip
•None
Bell is an idiot expecting Diaz to be able to get 6 outs this early in the season.
