That JD HR misses need to be discounted if they were off the Green Monster. Those hits were never going to homer in Fenway. I’ve got Martinez this year and really regretted how tough some of the stretches he’s had have hurt, like Sahara bone-dry. The eye test shows a very lost player reminiscent of ’20 when he struggled. I suspect his decline is age-related and would be super surprised if he gets 20 HR ever again. I
