Speaking of the Kershaw injury, I suffered sacroiliac (SI) joint inflammation from deadlifting. You can’t push off / drive with your legs. The pain is literally in your butt and extreme lower back and intensifies when you plant, push off or even walk forward. It can flare up easily if you think it is better and try to do too much. LAD obviously has an elite medical staff so they will take it very slow with him. I can see it turning into months before he is able to pitch again and return to the rotation. This is not a couple of weeks type of injury for an athlete., i.e., pitcher who has to explosively unload energy on every pitch.
