1. Power Streams

Patron Eno has added some power picks for the weekend series. Since we’ve been streaming all season, we should be comfortable jumping right in with his selections.

2. Daily DFS

Yesterday’s Grind

Early: Just two games early so boohoo. We’ll mist reliever/mediocre minor league starter Carlos Frias. He has to pitch at Coors Field. Too bad.

Late: J.A. Happ has the not so easy task of quieting the Orioles lineup. The lefty will have to navigate potent sluggers like Adam Jones and Nelson Cruz, both of whom feature substantial platoon splits.

Clay Buchholz is one of those few guys I don’t know how to handle. He seemingly dominates or flops in every start. PNC Field should help him out a bit.

Daniel Corcino is all-too-easy to pick out of the crowd today. He’s been terrible for two seasons in the upper minors, so there’s no reason to expect anything other than a terrible performance tonight. This should be a free win for the Cubbies.

I like James Paxton well enough, but I have to pick the Angels offense as the superior force in tonight’s matchup.

3. Thursday Picks

Tomorrow features 10 games, so stream accordingly.

Pitchers to Start: I have to recommend somebody here, right? Tsuyoshi Wada is a decent pitcher with a poor matchup against the Dodgers and Zack Greinke.

Moving along, you could also try wild card Danny Salazar against the strikeout prone Astros.

If you’re into rolling the dice, Robbie Erlin is a guy I like for his command and control. I don’t think he’ll dominate many teams, but he should turn in solid starts for the Padres. He’ll face a pitiful Phillies lineup at Petco Park.

Vidal Nuno versus Yohan Flande could be explosively run-full at Coors Field. The visiting Nuno more closely resembles a viable major league starter, but he’s certainly not adjusted to Denver.

Pitchers to Exploit: Nick Martinez is your Ranger target for tomorrow. He’s opposed by the recently feeble Athletics. They’re still desperately clinging to a Wild Card spot, so they need to win these easy ones.

R.A. Dickey isn’t a typical exploit. A start at Yankee Stadium could yield a couple cheap home runs.

Of the Red Sox slop of young pitchers, only one (Rubby de la Rosa) is showing any signs of success. Brandon Workman, who starts tomorrow, is the next best with non-terrible peripherals and a seemingly unlucky ERA. His xFIP is a manageable 4.25. I still like the Pirates against him.

Hitters (power): You can try Darin Ruf again with Erlin on the mound. Maikel Franco is another option I’ve neglected.

Maybe Cody Ross or Chris Owings will be helped by Coors.

Scott Van Slyke may start against Wada.

Wilson Ramos is generally available if you need a catcher. He’ll see Brad Hand.

Hitters (speed): Drew Stubbs is the full package when he has the platoon advantage at home.

Sam Fuld could swipe a base if you need it.

4. Table

The table below indicates which stadiums have the best conditions for hitters today. The color coding is a classic stoplight where green equals go for hitters. The weather conditions are from SI Weather’s home run app. A 10/10 means great atmospheric conditions for home runs. A 1/10 means lousy atmospheric conditions.

Places like Kansas and Oakland have very low chances for rain. I think we’re safe, but just keep an eye on the weather.

The Link. Too bad we can’t use that Denver game in DFS. There aren’t many green parks as a result.

I won a quarter contest yesterday stacking against Eovaldi — hello Mr. Flores. Too bad I didn’t have a bigger bankroll.
